Stupid creatine question

Ive always taken 5 when I take it. When I was young I would do the whole loading phase, but now when I take it I just stick to 5 throughout. I havent taken it in a very long time. Its getting time for me to get back on whatever brand is on sale soon.
 
I like this:

20 grams for 5-6 days
5 grams pre and 5 grams post only in train days
2-3 grams pre and 2-3 grams post only in train days
 
I take 2g pre workout and 2 intraworkout.

Why not 5g? Because my scoop is 2g.

I would imagine 5g is good enough. 4g is probably too.
 
I just take 5 grams whenever I remember. Sometimes I take more. It's all about being consistent with it, like everything else in life.
 
Like everyone else here I don't think it matters as long as you take ~5g daily to keep your levels up
I was just going to say this that 5g minimum just to keep levels up..
I've used expensive brands and I've used cheap brands. the brand I've been using now has been my staple for many years, it's cheap and flavorless.
I've personally never noticed a difference with five or ten, but I have noticed a difference when I don't take any.
Some of these brands out there that are flavored, I would throw up if I took 10g, and I thought 5 was difficult?!?!
 
I think absorption rates for most are right about the 3g mark, no matter what, so 5g of plain powder should be fine. No use taking more, but I agree that creatine is just one of those things that should be taken every day, whether dieting or adding size. In fact, it's even more valuable when dieting and a real must, but for some folks, creatine is just considered a 'wet' supplement. Not true. You don't have to get into weird esters and so forth, plain creatine monohydrate is all you need. You can try ethyl Ester, etc if bloating is an issue, which it really shouldn't be with just 5g a day.
 
And for the love of God, don't use anything other than plain Creatine Monohydrate (micronized or not) instead of BS-forms like Kre-Alkalyn and others.

You supposedly only need 5g/day roughly. Yes, carbs help getting it where it needs to go.

Creatine causes water retention in the muscle, which is good. That's literally how it works. If it doesn't "bloat" you it only means it's not working, either not absorbing, is not increasing creatine levels at all or you are taking too little. The marketing of "non-bloat creatines" is so retarded it beggars belief:D
