How does this powerhouse fuel her jam-packed schedule? She prioritizes. "If I didn't work out and watch what I ate, I'd easily be 200 pounds," she admits. "I'm not the girl who loves to go to the gym. And I'm not the girl who loves broccoli, either. But I am the girl who feels potent, capable and confident when she feels strong, and I don't want to give that up. To me, it's about building a better body." Breakfast
To start the day off right, Michaels stocks up on carbs for long-lasting energy. "Breakfast is usually whole-grain Ezekiel English Muffins with almond butter," she says. "And I eat two whole English Muffins, about 500 calories." Try these breakfast recipes!

Lunch
"For lunch, I'll usually have some sort of fish and veggies," says Michaels, who usually eats with her Biggest Loser contestants. "Salmon carpaccio and a vegetable or salad. But if it comes with cheese, I won't eat the cheese."

Snack
For a quick afternoon pick-me-up, "I'll have hummus and carrot sticks or chips and salsa or an orange and raw almonds or Brazil nuts," she says. "A little bit of protein and a little bit of carbs." No matter what she's munching on, you can bet it'll be the healthiest option. Try these snack ideas!

Dinner
"I try to cut out carbs whenever possible," Michaels says of her final meal. "And I eat organic whenever possible. I work with organic chefs who help me on my website and we create recipes and test them out. I eat fish a lot."

Sweet treat
"I try to get my dark chocolate in somewhere throughout the day," she admits. "I have to have it. I work it into my calorie allowance and I will always have 200 calories of chocolate...always!"


read this crap, she almost ZERO protein. little fish at lunch and some undefined protein at dinner. ALL she eats is carbs, then has the stupidity to say this: "I try to cut out carbs whenever possible". really genius look at your diet its all you eat.

then she says this: "And I eat organic whenever possible". i seriously wonder if she has a clue what organic is. organic is any substance which contains both hydrogen and carbon. plastic is organic, so is PVC pipe. of course we here know that the term organic is inappropriately applied to food grown without extra chemicals, fertilizers, preservatives, etc. i wonder if she has a clue?

also she eats 200 calories of chocolate per day. why not 200 calories of meat or something useful
 
HAHAHAHHA, just go and ask any of the newly certified personal trainers about training and nutrition. I will say that 90% of them will spew this same crap out of their mouths about diet. And even more of them will tell you that you do not need heavy weight training just hours of cardio to lose the fat.

And these people are the new experts in our fitness industry!!! WOW!

It's interesting how it seems most of the experts featured in mainstream media are women. I guess it's because they can get to be considered "fit" by the public by just doing a little cardio and not eating like complete shit. Toss in a junk degree in nutrition or whatever and some personal "training" experience at the local Planet Fitness, and they're practically gurus, no actual knowledge required!

She's mainly encouraging a sustainable, mediocre nutrition regiment. High protein diets generally are difficult for normal people to maintain.

there could be, but there's also the consideration of how much misinformation there is out there.

Im considered a newbie for sure, so you could say im about a normal person. I have stuck to a high protein diet for over a year now with great results.

But as for Jillian and Bob what they have those people do is insane!! Ive heard past contestants saying they spent 5 hours in the gym a day! It is not healthy or safe to lose weight that fast. Plus for most people who could lose like that most will regain their weight.

I have to agree though that I enjoy watching Jillian.

i find her to be completely hideous, maybe i have different taste than normal guys.

she's so ugly they rub tree branches on her face to make ugly sticks!
 
BOLD

Eziekiel is considered a whole protein source and VERY low GI carb. So is almond butter.
24g protein, 68g carbs, 14g fat


Lunch

Good meal. Roughly 40g protein, 15g fat

Snack

Raw Almonds or Brazil nuts great source of healthy fats. Other snacks not too bad either. Keeps metabolism rev'd with under 200 calories here

Probably more fish. 40g protein, 10-15g healthy fats again.

Sweet treat

Dark chocolate satisfies sweet tooth, allows a treat and is high in antioxidants.


Her diet doesnt look too bad man. Its about 110g protein, maybe 100g carbs tops and 45-50g EFA's. caloric total 1500 calories per day (including chocolate)for what i am assuming is a small female. Thats terrible? What you have to realize is that they are not hardcore bodybuilders or fitness competitors and they need a REALISTIC yet effective diet to follow, and this about does it! Sorry to throw a damper on your fitness celebrity bashing haha

Was thinking the exact same thing; not sure why everybody is bashing her diet. In terms of anti-aging and longevity it is actually a pretty good diet for someone who is active but not a hardcore bodybuilder.

I agree with TP4U. Who cares if she doesnt have the same knowledge as someone on this board? Shes not a BBer, nor is she claiming to be, nor are her clients trying to be.
