Sugar Alcohols... how bad is it?

I've always loved to drizzle a little bit of "sugar free" maple syrup in my oatmeal....not too much (less than a tsp).....how detrimental is it to a contest prep??...does it NEED to be cut out?.. leaning out pretty nicely but wondering if it'll hinder my progress

You and I are the same age, and for my last prep, I went thru a bag of splenda everly 5 days, using it on my oatmeal. As far as the syrup, I used tons of it too on my oats. It's delicious and I don't ever count the sugar .
 
Its actually the only meal where I use a sweetener....makes those oats taste so amazing....pathetic but its my highlight meal of the day. This prep shit blows....LOL....Ok so I guess my lil teaspoon won't pose any impact...SWEET!
 
If I'm really jonesin I'll have a bite of a supreme bar which has sugar alcohols. I believe everybody can diet as they see fit. If your getting into contest shape then enjoy your meals and put on them what you want, just as long as it doesn't hinder you.

Hey treefiddy I'm pathetic with you, a cup of oats with 2 splenda, cinnamon and a handful of raisins is like the food of the gods, lol.

LOL... You know shit is bad when 1/2 cup of jasmine rice makes my dingaling move.... Ooooohhhhh sooooo good!!!.... LOL.
 
Sugar alcohols still carry calories, 3 IIRC. That being said, the small amount you are using is probably insignificant. My personal opinion is that they shouldn't be used for health reasons, but that's another topic.

Ive yet to have an issue so i can only assume im not going overboard with it....LOL...
 
Too bad Maple Syrup flavored LBA's aren't around anymore. :(
 
Been doing this for 10 years. I also put whip cream and cherries on it. That my friends is a party. Caveat with the cherries. It cured all my symptoms of gout.
