I was skeptical at first when I heard Paul McCartney was hosting the half time show, but Paul tore the roof off the place! Probably one of the best half time shows I have ever seen! It was refreshing to see a TRUE artist rocking the house and not lip sinking.

for being 20yrs past his prime i guess he was ok
the NFL was just playing it safe after last year
frk

I have to say i was excited to see Paul play and you are right there is ahuge difference when there is REAL talent and not hyped lipped sync up there...
Over all i have to say that from the opening acts with the chorus singing the NATIONAL ANTHEM,which is how it should be sung without all that personal individual artistic touch,It was nice to hear it sung the way it should always be sung...to Paul being the great talent he is..to the commercial where soldiers are coming home and walking through the airport and people start to applaude as they walk through it...Still gives me goose bumps and a tear in my eye....over all i give the game and its tone a "A+"...very tasteful and i did not miss anything from the game i loved it all...

Nice thread starter BIG A..thanks for the heads up on the quality half time we have been missing for years..

I could not agree more with all of you. It was nice to see something real happen on the stage instead of a malfunction, which still ranks up there as a funny moment in sports. That is the kind of show that everyone, at any age, can enjoy.

Could not agree with you more. And, the thing about having him perform is that almost everyone can enjoy his music.

His talent is really ageless and endless.

I thought it was terrible....I'd rather listen to Disturbed haha

i wish they wouldnt even bother with halftime crap... how bout this for halftime show.... umm.. replays and game analysis???? not crap....

i get so Fing annoyed i cant stand it

if its not football then it better be titty dammit

paul was ok,... rather see britney up there shaking her ass than some old dude, but he did good... liked when he did that one song that gun n roses did too.... other than that... boooooooring!!!

I'd rather see Tom Brady stand at the 50 and have Big Ron hit him as hard as he could.

maybe paul should have pulled at his crotch and had some ripp away pants that would have revealed a thong hahahahahahahhaha

I'm not that old :p

When the Beatles hit the US shores I was in 5th grade. I watched them on the Ed Sullivan Show on our black & white TV.

Of course I had to walk to school the next day - 3 miles in the snow, barefoot, and it was uphill both ways  ;)
