As of now, I am on a break from working out but next week Monday I will start up. Before I get to my question, It might be good for me to give you some background info. I have been working out seriously for the past 4 months, doing 5X5 routines, hence my forum name. I went from 130ish to over 150. I am bulking/strength training right now. I am 5'6/25 years old. I have a somewhat ecto body. I have not geared up yet. I do not plan on doing it until I reach a hard plateau. My goal is to get to over 160 after this routine.

On to the questions:

1) I will be prealoading creatine starting Wednesday. I will do 3 tablespoons (15 grams) a day for 5 days. Is this fine? Now after the loading phase should I just stick to 5 grams before work out or do 5 grams in the morning then 5 grams before the workout? Which is better?

2) I have 9 bottles of 60 pills each of DHEA that I bought 2 years ago that I never used. Yes, I get the numb numb award. Each pill has 100mg of dehydroepiandrosterone in them. A total of 540 pills. Should I even think about adding this into my diet when I start my routine?

3) I have ON Protein, ZMA, Trib, HMB, Glucosamine & Chondroitin, Milk Thistle, Flax Seed Oil, and Fish oil. Any other recommendations?

The last 4 months I put on 20 pounds and the only supplement I used was ON Protein. Not to mention I gorged my self until I could gorge no more. I am really interested to see how everything goes with supplementing. Thanks for the help!

Can you briefly detail your routine,i waqs always qurious about the 5x5.
 
The first 5X5 routine I did was one that I pieced together myself
Monday: Squats 5X5, Bench Press 5X5, Rows 5X5 Abs
Wednesday: Squats 5X5, Military Press 5X5, Deadlifts 5X5, Chin-ups 5x5, Pull-ups 5X5
Friday (Work Up): Squats 5X5, Bench Press 5X5, Rows 5X5, Abs

Numb Numb is rarely used but consider it like dumba$$.

So, 15 is good. How about after loading should I do 10 grams a day or just keep it at the recommended 5 grams?
 
1.) you don't need to pre-load with Kre-alkalyn (the best creatine IMO), 2 a day, 1 b-4 & after workout.

2.) waste of money.

3.) LBA's and ON gold whey, at least 1 1/2 per pound up to 2 per pound. EFA sUpplements are a waste of money,(olive oil, natural peanut butter are better.)

Have to agree with pesty EXCEPT for the EFA's - EPA found in fish oil is a potent PPAR-alpha agonist (which is the genetic switch for fat burning that also lowers LDL & raises HDL cholesterol AND up-regulates UCP2 by a factor of 50 on avg). UCP2 is aka Uncoupling Protein-2 which is found in White Adipose Tissue and increases thermogenesis via a decrease in efficiency of oxidative-phosphorylation (DNP & T3 also do this).
Burns Fat - good
Helps cholesterol - good
You decide...
 
Good info. I will test out all the stuff I have labeled above and see how I feel. My goal to add 10lbs starts Monday.
