Whats really fucked is our economy is so bad from the gov's bad choices yet they choose to still dish out billions to the illegals billions of children they have on daily basis and their healthcare. Now our gov is gonna have to dish out millions more to find a cure for this swine flu. And the worst part is mexico doesnt help us worth shit. This flu is some pretty bad shit. The gov. should step it up a notch and get this shit under control. Who knows? Maybe they are responsible for this shit in the first place. Thow a little flu into the mix and kill of some people. I believe that is called population control. I do not know what to think anymore. Where does all of this shit come from. Yes regular influenza kills tens of thousands each year in the US, the elderly and immune comprimised and those that have a really bad immune response and don't get treated.
I doubt the gov't created this as it is seriously going to effect the economy-both ln the USA and globally making it worse.
A lot of items are going to be hard to come by soon if the restrictions go into effect on what comes into this country. Stores like Walmart keep very very low inventory levels to keep costs down (storage) so the surplus will go quickly.

Take care of yourselves and families avoid travel and contact with large amounts of people in them, wash and sanitize your hands often etc.

Tens of thousands of people could already be infected and are carriers passing it along unknowingly. It's ugly right now and REALLY gonna get uglier for a while. We are better prepared than ever before however a vaccine will take 4-6 months to make and then it won't be enough for everyone anyway.
Thank goodness Bush stock piled the anti-viral drugs and other supplies needed in a pandemic, and the FDA is allowing certain anti-virals to be used off label to fight this thing if needed.

MG...I can see both sides of the argument, on whether this is a gov produced virus. In the name of control, both on people and the ushering in of a socialized medicine program, this could be part of "a" plan. Forced immunizations could be right around the corner, with only God knows what in the "medicine". If you refuse the shot, people could be shipped off to a quarantine camp.

Trust me...I'm not a conspiracy guy, although I might sound like one...but I've been reading the news and how a system could be getting in place in order to create power and control over everyone. Oh well...there by the grace of God go I....

The whole thing is awful but I think some FACTS are needed here.

Level 6 is the highest and we are WAY off that.
Why would your govt restrict WHAT supplies come in when this is a virus that is carried by people?
A flu-jab vaccinates you from this virus and this jab is in plentiful supply.
To blame this on Mexicans as stated in the original post is ignorant.

Actually 6 is the highest, and effectively there is no difference in government response between 3 and 4. 3 is the virus being transmitted animal to human, 4 means a virus being transmitted human to human. Its a wait and see how commonly this really occurs before raising to level 5, where the government response does change. Level 6 is "we're screwed". Flus like this happen every 50-80 years as just a part of natural cycles. Plus with the number of people who misuse antibiotics and antivirals by not taking them the way they should its not a huge surprise that we see odd disease variants and partially treatment resistant ones.

Luckily in the US we are not too horribly likely to have a ton of deaths even in absolute worst case scenario (1-2%), but china, india, south america etc could (in worst case scenario) see death rates as high as 10-30% just due to lack of treatment facilities and availability. Odds of it being that bad are really really slim though.

I didn't want to comment on this, but I will. To blame a group of people for a virus outbreak is ridiculas. Fourthglen, I always has alot of respect for you, but not all people from Mexico are illegals. My wife's family is from there. We we were all imigrants at one time. Breaking the Law's? What about AAS? "He is with out sin, cast the first stone" Now, that being said, in 1997, I caught a Japanese strain that was killing people that year. It nearly took my life. Laying in the ICU, near dead, that last thing that was on my mind was to blame someone. I have never felt that sick in my life. Let me tell you how it felt, 105 temperture, being pack down with ice, kidneys and liver shutting down, can't breath, because of all the fluid on my lungs, almost had my heart shut down, because of fluid on it, It took 6 months to fully recover, not a pretty picture is it? So, show a little symphathy on people, and think next time wnen you say something, that effects people badly.
