Swollen Knee

Hey I did a shot of test C 250 yesterday. I injected into my right quad (lateralis). It was very smooth, no pain. Last night around 3 in the morning I woke up with HUGE pain in my knee... I woke up and could hardly move it. After it got warmed up it felt a little better. But I think the swelling has gotten a little worse. What gives?

The only thing I can think of is I missed my lateralis and went in between the medial and lateralis. I know it's a dumb mistake but I was in a hurry.

Oh and something else, I used a .5 inch needle... haha that's all I have

BF%? Chances are the needle may not have been long enough and you injected into your SubQ layer which causes a painful pocket of swelling and goodies

BF is around 10%

is it hot to the touch? fever?

Ive had a few injections where I dont go deep enough or get it between muscle fibers and get very sore, lumpy areas. As long as its not hot to the touch, or have any fever like symptoms you should be ok. Do not ICE it, try taking some ibuprofen for the pain and swelling. Good luck!

the injection site is fine. no pain or anything. But my knee feels a little bit warmer?

No fever tho and I feel fine. Next injection I'll bury that damn thing into my quad.

you could have missed like you stated in your own post, you could have hit a blood vessel or not shot deep enough. Try massaging the site and when you shower point the water directly at your leg and massage again and stretch lightly. A heating pad can help but it will in all likely increase any swelling you have. take a anti inflammatory and im sure you'll be fine in a few days. Just keep an eye on it

Same thing happened to me but with Sust with a .5 and same injection spot. The swelling went down after a couple days.

I had the EXACT same thing happen to me on my first run. You likely hit the the wrong muscle. I pinned mine just a little too low (closer to the knee). The next day I thought my knee was gonna pop. I have always been a little sore after a quad shot. But, that one hurt bad. I hate to tell you this. You are just gonna have to swallow some Ibuprofen and work though the pain. It will likely last a week. Also, use a longer pin for quads. I use a 1.25
