T3 recovery

Hi,

Hopped on T3 to finish my cut @50mcg. I´ve ran it for a week but feel like complete garbage so decided to stop cold turkey today.

How long will it (approx)take for my thyroid to recover(since it has only been a week)?

1 week? It usually takes about 2 weeks for long term users.
I don’t think you even have shutdown at all.
If you are concerned, get bloods but 1 week at 50mcg is not really anything to worry about.

Why not just scale back to 25mcg, and add 50T4? That's a better cutting blend besides

Usually your TSH will go back to baseline after a few days to a week after stopping in my experience. However, since you only were on it a week, your TSH was probably not that suppressed yet.

In other words, you'll be clear of it quick.

because you gave too high dose - we add t3 / t4 only when needed, i.e. our free t3 or t4 drops below the norm or to its lower limits and we do not give more than enough for t3 to be in the upper limit of the norm and by taking 50mcg you caused yourself overactive thyroid gland and you feel unwell

Have a high carb/calorie day and eat more salt. You should bounce back the following day.

Don't eat too much (will self regulate as you'll be a tad less hungry maybe). Lift and stay active per your normal. I've come off T3 a number of times... was never an issue (up to 5 months and 50-75mcg). You are correct in thinking about it but I don't know anyone for who this was an issue. Get bloods in a month and see where you are.
