tachycardia on low dose test - help

My 54 year old friend is on doctor prescribed HRT for 2 years. All blood work is normal and up to date. He has been doing 60mg of Test C twice a week. He just tried going to 80mg and 2 days later his heart rate went from about 80bmp to 140bpm. Why would a modest dose/dose cause such a bump.

Im not a doctor but I doubt it was the test but i would go get checked out by a professional

My guess is going to be adrenal issues, Aldosterone, DHEA or cortisol ,has he had any of these checked lately? E2? All these have a direct path to HR and BP.

That's odd. I'd get that checked, soon. If he's been on TRT for a while, maybe his E2 level is up. My BP and HR go up without an AI for a while when E2 rises.

Ive had the same thing before raising the dose (but more like going from 300 to 500mg) and just for a few hours. HR was about 110. It's didn't feel normal, but the doc said I'm fine. Androgens do cause some stimulation, but I've never heard of that at such a low dose.

Could it have just been stress for someone who isn't used to not following Doc's orders? (Unlike most of us here).

I have elevated blood pressure as a baseline but it's usually below what would be considered treatable levels. (ie. Treating it with medication would cause my blood pressure to be too low.) When I get on tren, however, my blood pressure tends to be high. I've never gotten anything like tachycardia, though. I'd go straight to the doc. More than likely he'd know and could do some more tests.

I know this sounds weird, but fish oil has actually done wonders to keep my BP down into the normal range.
