tattoos and gaining\ loosing weight

How does the weight and muscle gains affect tats in terms in placement and appearance? Im just imagining and inch gain in arm size on cycle screwing up the way it would look, or if you got tat while on it being misplaced after the size is gone....any ideas?

^^ Agreed. Makes no difference. Not unless you were 150lbs and got fat up to 380+lbs or visa-versa. But up and down 100lbs of muscle wont be seen in the tattoo. I got tattooed at 150lbs, got to where I am now, 230ish (increase of 80lbs) and no difference.

As long as it isn't excessive, it doesn't make much of a difference in my experience. I obtained a tattoo a year or two ago just a bit above my hips, which is where fat REALLY piles on for me (first place to gain fat, last place to lose it...love handles for life ), and through a good 30-40lb of fluctuation (anywhere from 180-220), the tattoo has remained constant.

I think time is the only real factor in a tat changing shape or color. over time, they tend to get a little bit longer.

It depends on placement got one across my upper back shoulder to shoulder about 4 years ago and I have grown a bit since and it needs a good touch up. The same artist just did a half sleeve for me and she even said it will cause a little displacement. Also she works out
