Testing estrogen on aromasin?

So apparently aromasin causes a false negative on an estrogen test.

With that said how do you go about keeping estrogen in check if you can't get an accurate reading on a blood test?

Explain yourself, please. False negative? Aren't you having E2 levels measured as a quantity, rather than as a binary value? Where did you hear that Aromasin affects E2 (presumably) in such a way as to distort a lab test???

My estradiol levels are very high and next to the actual results it says "
Some steroidal aromatase inhibitors are
structurally related to estradiol and may
interfere with some direct immunoassays."

So, I'm on a good dose of test. My estrogen levels are very high while taking aromasin. From this I'm assuming that it's the aromasin showing up as estradiol.


My question then is, how are you supposed to effectively manage estradiol levels while on aromasin. Is there a different estradiol test that I need to be doing?

What’s the test? I do the sensitive LC/MS. It costs more and takes days longer for results but I’ve never heard aromasin being a false positive for e2

Yes, reading FT, they were able to use LC-MS/MS to determine the proper E₂ value, rather than the inaccuracy from immunoassay. Since they gave you that notice there it was an immunoassay they ran, so can't be relied upon.

Matsuo mentioned it, a test using LC/MS (stands for liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry)
