WTF 3? Would anyone really compete looking like this? This is one of the stragest "physiques" ive ever seen.

I'm in the same boat as Barnett and Lil Savage on this topic.
Betito, No disrespect to your buddy Arturo, but trophy collecting doesn't rank real hi on my level of respect. Seriously, the guy looks great, SHOULD be pro. So, why compete in a non national level show??? Trophy collecting! My belief, is that anyone over lightweight that earns a pro card should be forced to accept the card or be disqualified from ametuer shows. It reminds me of Jose Raymond, he may be a nice guy, I don't know him and I think he has an awesome physique. A physique that earned him a few pro cards, which he turned down and in the process F'd the runner ups over by competiing "as a pro" in ametuer ranks. Sad sad sad...

I'm think'n maybe it's time for me to go back to high school and play football agaist 17yr olds. Whata ya think???

I have been this way also. As said, no disrespect to any of these top class physiques, but what is stopping them? Fear of failure? fear of looking out of place? fear of not actually winning a show?

I always thought the objective of BBing on any level is to advance and achieve. progression should be the goal with a pro card and a top three placing in a pro show being high on the "TO DO" list. I am in agreement with RR, Lilsavage and others here that think this way. In 99 here in OZ they allowed a professional BBer from a couple of years back do the amatuer national titles. Now this guy didn't turn up in the same condition as the rest of us, he was a lot smoother but this guy was in a class of his own, so of course he took out the title. This is the year I left the IFBB and went over to NABBA. I have seen this too many times. Once you win a local show you do a state show, once you win a state show you reach for a national title, once that is in your grasp you look for a world title, then on to your pro card!! Not turn down the procard cause you know you can demolish the up and comers. I had been asked to compete in some regional shows and turned them down! WHy because I have been there and done that!! It is not fair to other guys trying to move up in the game. if you are not going to progress to the next level then get out of the game. Why do you do it.............To improve and achieve!!!!
