THE ARNOLD-AMATEUR OVERALL WINNER

Dude looks like he may have had to overcome some physical challenges, that is to say he may have some sort of handicap. I dont know.

It looks like a bunch of those guys used Dream Tan. I didn't think they were letting them use that at comps anymore.

I was wondering who would take the overall. Yeah, That dude's biceps were crazy. He had a hype dude sitting across from me going nuts for him...yeah 70...big 7-0. Kept commenting on how no one had calves like his. They were cut like a diamond...
There were some guys that looked really good, good condition....and some that had no buisness being there.

Yeah I don't want to bash that guy, but MAN that is the look I'm not going for. He is just so weird looking, Can any one find out more info on this guy?

He looks very conditioned,it seems like his joints are so small-thats why his muscle bellies(especially his arms,delts)-make him look like he is a teenage mutant ninja turtle:D

I must say...alot of the physiques looked great but I do think that they should not allow guys to still compete that turn down procards...just My 2 cents

No disrespect meant but wow what an interesting physique , really strange.

at least he is in shape! can't take that away.

isnt that call paulomboism or something similar? i remember reading about a contition where the abdomen enlarges ad the extremeties atrophy. i cant remember the article verry well but i think it was attributed to the abuse of HGH. anyone have any more info?

Middleweight champion Arturo Castañeda

Did anyone notice how the light heavy winner Eduard Correa (who IMO has an excellent physique) won the MD cyber classic over Tarek, but Tarek won in the amateur contest. Interesting!

It looked strange to me, in my opinion Tarek could be in the pro show and he would have kicked some butts

hate to say it, but....

I'm in the same boat as Barnett and Lil Savage on this topic.
Betito, No disrespect to your buddy Arturo, but trophy collecting doesn't rank real hi on my level of respect. Seriously, the guy looks great, SHOULD be pro. So, why compete in a non national level show??? Trophy collecting! My belief, is that anyone over lightweight that earns a pro card should be forced to accept the card or be disqualified from ametuer shows. It reminds me of Jose Raymond, he may be a nice guy, I don't know him and I think he has an awesome physique. A physique that earned him a few pro cards, which he turned down and in the process F'd the runner ups over by competiing "as a pro" in ametuer ranks. Sad sad sad...

I'm think'n maybe it's time for me to go back to high school and play football agaist 17yr olds. Whata ya think???

I agree with you on this Rob. I understand these guys want exposure and a chance to compete in the US, but it shouldn't be at the amateur level.

You want the exposure, then do what all other pros have done up until now, turn pro in your country then compete here. That's what Wolf, Hide, Sylvio, Mo El, etc. etc. have done.
I've seen the same thing in the Cali shows lately as well. The funny thing is when these guys come over and compete in these Cali shows and then get beat then turn pro a week or two later in their home country. I've seen this happen a few times last year.

I totally understand your points. The main reason why this happens is because in Europe amateur contests are well paid. Some of these guys can end in the podium of 6-8 competitions in a year and make a good amount of cash. Living in europe and becoming a pro means the end of money from contests and hello to great travelling expenses to finish 13 in one contest without a single callout. I would respect both options but i understand guys like Arturo who has two jobs and a family in Spain choosing to turn the card down compete in europe every two years and make some euros.

I just remembered the prejudge sounded like we were south of the boarder in a few of the classes. There was a couple from Florida that were commenting that they thought they were in Miami. lol.

I had no clue that was the case with amatures in europe.....interesting. I don't blame the guy!
