The bank owns Gaspari Nutrition?

I heard from a supplement supplier that a bank now owns Gaspari and they can't order from them anymore. Can anyone confirm this?

Hmm could be plausible. A lot of people sell things that they can't afford or owe back payments and maybe why gaspari is selling but I can't see a bank putting a stop to products being ordered unless the facility gaspari possibly purchased is being foreclosed on but I have a hunch this is just a rumor.

I can just see the public announcements page in the local paper..."cheaply made supplements for sale dirt cheap...auction starts at 10am".

But seriously would be interested to learn more about this.

i know someone tried ordering a few gaspari products from bb.com and was refunded 2wks later after inventory never replenished. who knows

It would be surprising if the bank owned them, but not if they were in financial trouble. Supplement companies, some of them, do not know the meaning of words 'advertising budget' lol.

Look at how many times Muscletech has filed for bankruptcy because they advertise non stop. Every Magazine is full of 30 full bleeds, with Gaspari right behind them.

If a bank is involved, that means they took the company into receivership. Been through this before with firms...it happens all the time as the bank is always going to be first in line when they provide you with equity/capital to run the business. Usually they will partner with an equity firm to try and sell the business instead of simply liquidating. In this case, it is clear they are trying to sell the company and get something for it.
