The important things in life

WELL.. I SEE WHAT YOU ARE SAYING JT.. but i do disagree a little.. what i am referring to is the fact that many use "i am chasing the bodybuilding dream" and use it as a excuse to not work and take responsiblity for family ect ..

i will use a top competitor who just turned pro as a example.. curtis bryant.. he works a physical demanding job as a welder.. he works 9 hour shifts.. he eats on his breaks which i can imagine are only 15 minutes here and there.. and curtis also has a life with family.. and he qualified for his pro card and competes as a pro today.. if one is working out 4-5 days a week that leaves 3 days or so to get meals made for the week ahead ect.. thats why we have freezers..simple time management...

so yes, meals can be prepared ahead of time.. many do.. workouts take 4-5 hours a week.. lets just say we take 30 minutes for meals.. that is 3 hours a day.. we work 8 hours a day.. ect ect.. when ya do the math there is no excuse whatsoever to ignore family duties and obligations.. and guess what? if ya have to ignore family and friends to achieve this goal it is not worth it..

and yes jt.. i love ya still.. no one can deny or bond ;):p

Well said!

I have heard the same excuses over the years of why so and so is not pro yet or has a contract or exposure or can't even win a local show, just plain ol excuses!

Those who work hard in all aspects of life including family, work (the one you actually get paid for), etc, those people will be rewarded 10 fold in the long run. Those that make excuses, will never get anywhere.

But I guess I always go back to "Pursuit of Happiness", we are always trying to achive happiness and if living in your car and showering at the gym makes you happy, go for it!
