this case has nothing to do with indefinate detention by the military. he was investigated by the fbi and faces charges. he is scheduled to be before a judge. if this was ndaa related there would be no need for charges or judges. he could be detained indefinately by the military on suspicion alone.

Yeah, if he is getting a trial then its not following the new NDAA. If they were following that we wouldnt even know he was detained.

yea i figured when i read it was all investigations by the fbi... but to start a debate on what people think... why is it that we are catching terrorist fine right now using the fbi but feel the need to sign a fucking stupid NDAA bill??

This is kinda why i posted this story looks like the fbi is doing just fine and the NDAA bill is just a bunch of signed bullshit by obama to pay back favors!

well not to be paranoid but in worst case scenarios like public unrest due to food shotrages or natural disasters large groups can be rounded up by the military and sent to detention centers with no legal processing required. to me it is in effect martial law waiting to happen.

The other reply's reflect my opinion as well. We won't really know about the NDAA arrests. If they can make an arrest and a legitimate case they won't really need NDAA.
