Hey guys,

I am thinking of whipping up a solid healthy snack for inbetween meals. I am looking at combining whey protein, oatmeal, and pnut butter for a healthy pudding type combo to eat at work to keep me away from the vending machine of death.

I am looking at ratios like : 30 grams protein from whey, 25 grams complex carbs from oatmeal, 10 grams healthy fat from all natural pnut butter.

Should i tweak these or add anything?

Just yesterday I tried it with Chocolate LBA instead of whey. Tasted great...

I love to snack on supreme protien bars(best on the market) good sources of protien and hardly any net carbs. Try one they are delicious.

SynthePURE (mixed in shakes,muffins,pancakes,etc..)
 
Just got some LBA's myself and can't wait to try them out.
 
My favorite is vanilla LBA's, EVOO, 4 ounces of liquid egg whites, 4 ounces cold water....tastes good and its rather satisfying.

I'd add lba's and occasionally a tbsp of evoo and/or coconut oil
 
LBAs are good in between but they won't fill you...you can hardly call them a snack.

If you're craving chocolate bar, then what you are suggesting will do the trick.

I made something similar to this before and it tasted real good.

You might add cacao to it to make it more into a chocolate flavour. Other than that, nothing much you can do.

You can have other protein sources, but don't see the point. I think doing something with sweet potatoes instead of oat might work as well and should be pretty tasty.

Depending how you're planning to make it, it will be rather difficult to keep the bar together.

Just had a thought. You can buy hard pressed, skimmed milk cottage cheese. I think it's pretty much all protein. That would go nicely into a bar as well. Can't recall the exact ratios but it's good and healthy.

The supreme bars are good especially the new peanut butter crunch ones, but protein bars are full of crap hydrogenated oils trans fats etc. Not exactly a healthy choice for snacking.
 
yes i agree LBA's
i started mine 2 days ago :) and feel great
dont get that bloated feeling as with protein shakes or bars
 
If your wanting a "pudding" type snack try this:

3 scoops Whey Protein
3 Tablespoons LBA (I use vanilla)
1 pack sugar free pudding mix (vanilla or bannana)
2 cups fat free milk
4 fat free vanilla wafers

Guys, I don't know if it's me, but what is the point of including LBAs in a mix like above or with 'real' food? I thought the whole point behind LBAs was that they are fast absorbing - if you include all that stuff in there, you loose the whole point and I would rather use whey.

The only thing I would mix with LBAs are l-glutamine peptides, WMS, BCAA - things that are real fast absorbing and in this case PWO.

Otherwise, keep it simple and use between meals as per Phil's original suggestion.
 
yeah i dont see a point either unless you like to flavor your stuff with the LBA's. But no need for all that extra stuff in there. Let the LBA's do there job and save your $$$$

When you make this stuff you can snack on it anytime but you dont eat it all at one time. I always use half LBA and half whey. I just like the LBA's because you dont need as much.
