I just wanted to throw this out there as a general topic to get an idea of what others think about this, and maybe get some understanding and learn from your experiences.

I decided to get serious about the health and fitness side of my life about 6 years ago, and dropped from 278# to 185# with diet and exercise, no enhancement, all natural. Over time, built a decent physique naturally. Eventually decided to try and see if I could then drop to 12-13% body fat, which I accomplished this year. Nothing crazy, decided to take the first baby step and did a Tesa/Ipa cycle (first attempt at some PED help), and got serious with diet and exercise again, that went well. Dropped to now 187-192# at around 12-13% body fat (I'm 5'8").

Now that I'm 53 and my t levels were relatively low (total T with every possible natural lifestyle thing thrown at it was 490, free T was like 11 ng/dl I think?), started TRT and am now working with 1.5 IUs daily of HGH. Nothing crazy, very conservative. Goal is a lean decent physique, think ripped muscular older actor type, not body builder size like so many of you amazing people here. :)

I should be psychologically OK to start doing a lean bulk, but I get super anxious as I see the scale weight creep back up, even though visually things still look good. I know it takes far lonegr to build than it does to cut, but as a former fat person, it's sometimes really hard to you know, trust the process.

Anyone here feel similarly, and what do you tell yourself mentally to stay focused on the goal, or what strategies/approaches do you take to ensure success and trust the process? I would love to hear your own experiences and advice with this. Thanks everyone.

If seeing the numbers go up bothers you then maybe you don't really want to get bigger. I was a fat kid growing up, changed the way i ate and trained in my 20's. Lived like a BB since then. Now that i am older 65 i don't put a lot of effort into getting bigger as the older i am the harder it is to grow muscle. And the more muscle past a point i have the less healthy i become it seems from studies i have seen.
