The Strict Man's "Cheat Meal"???

I want the really strict day in day out diet guys especially to respond here.

What kind of cheat meal do you guys prefer?
I mean when your girlfriend or wife wants to go eat somewhere on a friday..fast food or restaurant doesnt matter...

I heard a good one today someone told me to go to fudruckers and have the buffalo burger and the yam fries.

...which ones do you guys eat?

Also how often do you have a cheat meal..and how do you think it affects you?

My cheat is always Sunday dinner and its anything I want including desert. Tonight was my girls homade Fettucini Alfredo and strawberry cheesecake.
 
I can tell you my next cheat meal will be pancakes and steak/egg/hashbrown omelette in 14 days...but a strict cheat meal I would indulge when not competing would be buffalo bison burger on whole oatie wheat bun with sweet potato fries, and thier green beans that have bacon bits in them.
 
The first thing I ask myself is if my body is craving the fats/carbs/calories, or is it just because I want the taste. For me there is a difference. As a general rule in the past my cheats would be anything that wasn't sugar or sweets. My cheats are usually pancakes w/ sugar free syrup, pizza, or a cheeseburger and french fries. If I'm dieting I usually dont do anything like ice cream, cookies, or cake. Those would be considered bad cheats for me
 
i'm running a low carbs right now.. I cheated tonight and had cheese cake after dinner. it was peanut butter choc. cheese cake. i only ate half of it tho. I was gonna take pic of it for you guys but i dove in it as quick as it hit the table lol

any other cheat i do a med pizza.
 
I stay real strict all year, This is what I consider cheat meals. Once every 2-weeks I will have natural granola with 8 oz milk. Once every 2 weeks a protien bar. I like the Supreme protein bars.
 
after i diet strictly for awhile, i dont have cravings for garbage food. i get hungry, but i crave stuff that i am allowed to eat. junk food tastes disguisting to me (by junk i mean stuff like bread, restaurant food, anything processed)
 
I had a cheat meal last night at the cheesecake factory... double bacon cheeseburger w/ fries and half of a piece of cookie dough/peanut butter cup cheesecake. And an appetizer. Needless to say, today is going to be better. I'm going out again, tonight, and plan on having some type of salad w/ an unfatty meat.
 
I don't deviate much, but if I do with mama it is her choice. Pre-contest she knows I will not budge unless given the green light by Phil. :p I try very, very hard to keep mama happy!
 
For me, if I'm going to cheat, I go big...prob. to big. lol.
There was about a month where my family went out and after words we went to Cicis and I had around 2 or 3 pizzas on my own...now I'm doing it strict as I can be..and I dont miss the cheating...I always feel guilty b/c I look around and see how obese everyone is and out of shape...I think I dont want to look like this, I want to be something better.
I might be wrong, but I dont think the body can process that much fat/carbs at once..I also slam down a 50 G protein shake too so it wont be as bad.

I got really motivated after I read shelbys post...he said something along the lines of, I might not have the best genetics, but I'm constant..I do the same thing, eat the same thing year in and out...I'm doing nothing but clean eatting now for 3 months, and I allready feel better, so I predict I'll be doing it longer than this..I just gota set a goal and I'm there.
My fiance is starting my diet too, so hopefully the urge for her to "cheat" will be out of the widow, and mine will be too. haha.
So, for the most part, I'm going to stay strict...if you read this Shelby, thanks..

For the how often...I did it once a week, useually on weekends.

I guess now I do cheat a little..but its only with about 2 TBSP of BBQ sause with some steak..but hey, if I consider that a cheat meal, I'm good to go. lol
 
The only time i ever cheat is when i am forced too...work dinners, family occasions, ect...and in those situation i just get a steak and veggies. you can order a steak and steamed veggies at just about any restaurant. Boring yes but in the past the more i cheat the more i crave foods that are not in my diet.

For me its usually PIZZA And/or ICE CREAM
 
Every sunday i use my dinner as my cheat, all i can eat sushi followed by dessert, a huge piece of carrot cake
 
There are different routes of thought here. IMO.

One moderate size meal, mixing fats and carbs is 'ok.'

But if more than a meal I would highly recommend carb+protein, just trace fat is allow. Meals with a high carbohydrate content in combination with high-fat meals can actually promote a synergistic insulin release when compared to the two alone. High fat with high-carb meals represent the worst possible case scenario. And no don't buy the 'it lowers your insulin response' because that's not entirely true it doesn't it just lowers the GI - glucose released in the blood stream - insulin and glucose are sometimes not coordinated correctly. So although you might be slowing the rate of glucose absorption into the blood by adding fat to your meals, you'll promote high blood levels of fats, carbs, and insulin.

It just gives me the chills every time I see people talk about cheating/refeeding on 2-3 meals when they are a moderate/high fat and carb content. I like to stay under 5g of fat per 100 carbs.

But this is a strict man's cheat... which I think is best used as a refeed if you want to be 'strict', so the above description is awesome. But if you want a cheat and not give a damn about anything else get you favorite thing fat, carb, protein, partially hydrogenated, etc.

I think I ate a whole case of the pb ones last week. Even if their label lies about the protein/carbs/fats, they've gotta be better for you than Snickers.

Ted Montana's has a Bison Burger to die for and if they do not have the sweet potato fries, I get a huge sweet potato with brown sugar and tons of thier special green beans, oh ans sometimes I eat a couple of thier heated rolls:D...now I am hungry as shit, as I enjoyed typing that, but sucks not tasting it:mad: Soon enough.....
