The Underground will be down for a short time

Server dumped early this morning and I got another round of excuses by the network techs at the hosting company, you'd think they'd realize that if a guy can run his own servers without a staff of 10 maybe he knows a little something about this shit. Anyway, I got fed up and pulled the web server offline. Changing hosting companies wasn't supposed to happen until the end of December but obviously it needed to happen to now.

So The UG will be getting a new hosting company. But, also it may possibly get a new owner or owners. Some things that happened this past year made me get out of the web site hosting and web site design businesses, then a few things that happened the past month made me start thinking maybe it's time to get out of the web site ownership business too.

I received some pretty nice offers lately from known board names who got me thinking about giving it up. I've made it through some of the training for a new career already but going to school full time has been something I couldn't do financially. I have the utmost respect for all the guys and girls who've managed to make it through a career change in their 30's with the house payment, utility bills, and other such things just waiting to take more money each month.

The UG's membership continues to grow, every week there are more and more new registrations. Each week I receive more and more questions from guys wanting to advertise. If it keeps growing I'm simply going to be doing it a disservice by hanging onto it when I know I don't have the time to properly run it. I very much want to go back to school and a few grand would help make that happen.

I haven't made a decision either way, and before I do I'm going to talk to both TBonus and Damage. But whether I sell or not the board will be back in a short time, just don't know who's going to have Admin under their name.
