Theoretical question for experts/pros

I also think that there is a case of diminishing returns.

In my younger days I was of the mentality that more is better working up to 5g all told in a week. The thing was the gains at the point in time were not what I expected, so I started using the muscle in my head.

Now I can use much much lower doses and make what I think are decent gains, so my anecdotal evidience is that if 1g does this 2g will not always double the gains, therefore use the lower doses and if it takes the longer to acheive your goal, the sweeter it is.

And trust me I was at the back when they handed out genetics.

A limiting factor for me is that I like to progress dosages GRADUALLY as time goes on. If you jump up to 3g+ a wk,
where do you go when that becomes 'average'? I switch up products every cycle, if I find something that works I'll stick with it.
I only increase doses every couple few cycles, juggling drugs
upping some a little, some not at all. Front loading with prop/suspension 1st 4wks or more is something I really discovered worked good last cycle-so Im sticking with that.
So at first my dosages are higher, because Im also doing the enanthate-sust along with the prop/susp. But its not kicking in until wk3-5, so it hardly counts. So as I level off they are just up a little. Basically the key is patience, and to have a plan for long range-not just the immediate cycle. :p Very good thread BTW!

As a 100% "amateur" non-competitor, (and an "older" guy) this is an interesting thread with some good points. I started jucing back in the days I was competing in Judo - actually toward the end of my competition days, but I think it gave me a couple more years. I'm a good bit older now (in my 50's) but been jucing off and on since mid-80's. I've learned that I do have a practical limit to how much difference the AS will make. Just to see what would happen I have taken my levels up fairly high once or twice. For me at least there seems to be a point of diminishing returns. Up to a certain point (depending on what "flavors" I'm doing) more does do more, everything being equal. But then there is a point where more just increases the sides and doesn't seem to really make me gain much more - and like somebody side you also have the age-old problem of losing your gains. I seem to keep more when I don't get too crazy with my dosage levels. In the end I agree it seems to basicallly be an individual thing. Some people can just tolerate more than others. And in the big picture its just not worth fucking up your health.

I ENJOYED THIS ONE AS WELL. LOTS OF GOOD RESPONSES. I AM A LOW DOSE GUY MYSELF BUT ONE OF MY FRIENDS JUST GOT BACK FROM CALI AND HE'S USING A LOT MORE THAN I DO AND HE HAS REALLY GROWN. I USE ONE CC OF TEST A WEEK AND 4 DBOL OR SOME OTHER ORAL. TIME TO BUMP IT UP.

Actually I am around 329lbs in offseason and am 5'9. But, I did not post that because I am some punk kid trying to get people to respect me. I have taken around that much but, lately have been using a lot less and still growing same if not better. I am not someone that thinks gear is answer cause it isn't but, I also am very experimental and can't very well train the guys I do w/out knowing WTF I am doing and knowing first hand.
