This is genetics... 6'5" 250lbs solid muscle in the 8th grade

I remember seeing Julius Peppers in person and I was in awe! 6'7"-290 ..low bf...tear the rim down in basketball...chase down Michael Vick from sideline to sideline...just a freak specimen!!

I’m not from the US but am familiar with the sports scene over there and I’ve heard numerous stories of how PED use in young teenagers who show good prospects for sports such as wrestling, football or track&field isn’t uncommon given that it’ll help them attain scholarships for university and eventually allow them to compete professionally.

Excellent genetics for muscle building aside, what is the likelihood that this kids done already done a few cycles of orals or injectables like test at his age? I’ve heard first hand stories of how PED use is rampant in some schools in Texas that are highly focused on football so I’m curious.
As a man who many years ago did all of his schooling in Texas…I can attest to this lol

Yeah living in Florida there was a running back at my school that went to a pretty well known south Carolina university and was a 1st round draft pick in the NFL and now coaches at that SC university that had a liking for south of the border gear provided by an older gentleman in his life.

A lot of players in schools near mine also did the same, EQ was very popular for them.(This was 05-09ish)

I think there were 2 players in my school that went to NFL and 3 from nearby schools. None of these schools had more than 4-600 students total.

You think those kids were taking steroids while they were in junior high, 7th and 8th graders age 13 and 14? If so, that's pretty sad. That will stunt bone growth and limit their height if any significant amount of steroids are used.

This boy is 6 foot 5 inches tall, so I think the chance that he has been taking a lot of steroids at age 13 and 14 or younger is a long shot.

The two I know personally started in 9th grade, don't know about the others. One ended up being 5'9-5'10ish and the other 6'4

If the tall boy was like me, he finished growing in height before he started the 9th grade. Steroids in 9th grade would not slow growth of the bones in that case. I don't think there are many boys that have reached their natural adult height by junior high, 7th grade or early 8th grade

Man this kid is not on steroids, its just genetics. Some of you guys make me laugh.

He has great genetics for size. However, this is not "6'5" 250lbs of solid muscle". I'm 6'5" and 235lbs right now, and if he stood beside me, I'd make him look like exactly what he is... a kid.

This is not to take anything away from him, way better genetics than mine, and he is huge for his age.

He is exactly like my younger brother. While he is maybe 1/2" taller than me, we are built totally different.

When I was like 16, I was 6'4 or maybe 6'5 already, and weighed a whopping 165lbs. My brother by the time he was 14 was walking around 225lbs+.

I've been training legs for years and right now I think my quads are around 27" (might be 28", I forget because it doesn't matter, they still look like sticks). My brother on the other hand, I don't think has squatted in his life and had close to 30" quads in high school. He is naturally broad, and has what I call "a farm boy built". My dad uses to call me Stick, and him Log

Even now, he still doesn't lift, and he is around 340lbs (fat, but thick). I stuff myself with 6000 calories a day, and can't break 265lbs.

And even at 340lbs, he still plays basketball weekly in a men's league (with some national level guys/ ex pros) and can still dunk. Myself, I look like I should be able to (meaning look way more athletic), but if I'd go up for a dunk, I'd throw my back out and be crippled for a month.

So, I've seen it with my own eyes, I grew up with it, certain people are just big. No steroids required. Not even training or a lot of calories, they just grow.

I know there will always be some crazy kids that juice up at 13 or 14, but thats not always the case.

The fitness community has a hard time believing that someone's genetics can make them much bigger than average, yet they have no issue seeing a 7'2" guy and admit that his height is due to genetics.

I had a roommate that was on the college football team. He was about 6 foot and a natural 245 lbs. He was a fullback. He could bench over 500 lbs natural. Saw him repping out with 405 like it was 205 to me. Never touched a steroid, and I got the impression that he was above average at best for size and strength on the team. That was back in 1990. Kids are even bigger naturally now.

Oh and one last thing about genetics... my brother has had 20" calves since I think the 8th grade lol, fucker doesn't even know what a calf raise is. Stole all the good genetics (and this is probably why he has never seriously trained, he doesn't need to, only time he decides to start lifting/training is when he decides that he needs to lose weight; and then he lasts a couple months at best)

Scandinavian background?

It's really no different than being born with the face of a Robert Redford or a Brad Pitt. Some just get lucky.

No it won't stunt bone growth or height. Myself and a few of my friends started at around 14yrs with AAS. Was still growing taller in my first year of college after quite a few cycles

In the early 2000’s I couldn’t walk into a high school gym or college gym in Texas without being offered denkall test 400 and EQ ( I forgot the brand). It was usually given to us by the damn coaches, or sold to us by the coaches friends or wife.

I got to where I was pinning a test 400 EOD and EQ on the opposites days of that…in fucken high school and college! I wrecked myself early.

Sounds about right. It's when they started testing TX high school kids for ped use... or right after the whole Tyler kid from Colin County made national use when GW started his war on baseball.

here (mid South Carolina), those kids were taking orals pretty young, dbol and anadrol, mainly

handed out by coaches in high school

See, this is what all of my cousins and friends from out of state told me they were offered. I am about to have a 20 year high school reunion and wonder what kinda nonsense the coaches are pushing on kids in Texas since all those Mexican labs were shut down.

I imagine Texas is the same as this now..shame really, it’s just a damn sport that I didn’t even care about that turned into a rest of my life decision..I’m glad places like this board exist now where old meat heads like us could dissuade a 17-18 year old from using, or from blasting 2 grams of shit a week like I did lol
