This stuff makes me hard! Anti-aging pioneer David Sinclair on Joe Rogan!

The only anti-aging supplement I plan on taking for the rest of my life is cialis. And I already know how I am going to die. I'm going to get shot by a jealous husband.....when I'm in my 90's. :)

Move on

No one cares if you like or dislike Rogan. It blows me away that someone can get so off topic about meaningless BS.....who cares...I don't and I'm sure many others don't as well.

He is a cia shill cuck who pushes the (((agenda)))

Lmao oh brother, another internet “Navy Seal” over here...

No he wasn’t a great actor and never claimed to be...

Never became a legend fighter because he didn’t pursue a career but probably forgets more about fighting than you’ll ever know...

A great comedian? Your opinion he’s not, and you’re entitled to it but again, sold out shows at the comedy store multiple times per week and sold out tours around the country...

Intellectual? Not the smartest man on the planet but I’d say he’s got some intellect not only given the conversations he’s had with the walking brains on his show But you also don’t become that successful by “muscling though and being dumb” or else you’d have an 8 figure net worth and have a larger platform giving YOUR educated (?lmao) opinions/facts..

But you’re just a different kind of fan than the rest of us :D

Alright, I’m done... BACK TO ANTI AGING!!!!

What did u just say about me, im a navy seal gorilla warrior withn600 confirmed kills etc

I have just posted some of this in another thread but noticed this thread so will add something here as well. I have never been overly concerned with anti-aging but I guess that may change now I am in my mid 30's. There are so many supplements out there that can help in this area. Genetics is obviously a massive factor and some just get lucky in that regard. There are some simple supplements that many of us take that I think are great. I am a big believer in ZMA pre bed for so many reasons. Great for sleep, recovery, skin etc. Magnesium has many anti-aging properties. I think the combination of l-carnitine (synthetine) with the likes of alpha lipoic acid, ubiquinol and curcumin is great for reducing mitochondrial decay, thus, helps with anti-aging. Metformin is an obvious hot topic on here and it's great but I personally cycle it on/off.

Most things are common sense and many on here abuse certain things and that will never help. Abusing AAS ages you fast. As does alcohol and smoking. Many bodybuilders are obsessed with tanning as well and that is an obvious red flag. All common sense such as a diet full of nutrients but so many on here eat bland diets void of nutrients. Many rely on supplements to get their vitamins and minerals but I also think there should be natural sources in your diet too. I try to eat a variety of berries daily as my number 1 thing. Then healthy fats in the form of avocados and extra virgin olive oil etc. A little can go along way as long as they are consumed daily. Water is another obvious thing but many don't keep up with it.

So whilst I think great on all these exotic drugs for anti-aging I think many don't even cover the basics to begin with. Although I know some of the main posters in this thread do eat and supplement well but figured I would post this to make others think are they covering the basics first.

Sinclair has also been on Peter Attia's podcast discussing some of these same topics if anyone is interested in getting even more info.

https://peterattiamd.com/davidsinclair/

The great thing about him being on Attia's podcast is they are both so smart and well-versed on these topics that the discussion is even more in-depth and technical, whereas the Rogan episode forces Sinclair to answer things in more laymans terms (which is also good). I think the dynamic between Attia and Sinclair works really well for a discussion on these topics too because Attia seems a little bit more skeptical where Sinclair is more optimistic (nice to hear somewhat differing opinions). Anyway..another really good podcast if anyone is interested

NMN at 500mg vs 1gram?

Anyone have any thoughts about maybe half of what Dr. Sinclair takes? As an option for some results while saving some money.

Could we see this potentially being offered by sponsors in here?

You the same SDRaver from back in the day at AnabolicFitness/AFboard?

If so I hope you are doing well. I think you were in the middle east and got into a bad accident there IIRC?

That's me. Things went from bad to worse for a bit. More so because of the head meds they throw at you to treat symptoms instead of treating root causes. But we all know that story.

Fortunately being retired going on 7 years now and having more control of my own health and paying attention to things that work with people on this particular board has helped greatly over the years. Had I not been a frequent visitor of this board to learn about lab work and which kinds to get it would have been a lot different from me I'm sure and not in a good way.

Things are much better since all that happened to me. I don't comment much on this board but I'm always on it reading and learning though. Hope all is well with you.

The problem I have with Sinclair is his conflict of interest. He is pushing the same substances he discusses with his ownership in supplement companies. I dont want to knock a guy for trying to make money but money make its impossible to have an unbiased opinion

I'm going to throw this out here, and I'm sure I'm stating the obvious, but I don't want to assume. Extensive Slin use will age the body and mind.

Ehh doesn’t really make sense; if you listen to the interview, the supplements he talks about using he says come from his own research lab and no particular name brands.. If he’s invested in supplement companies what are the odds that someone is going to buy the brands he’s invested in without them knowing?

Y’all flipping out bc he said he was 50! Haha. I’ve known several people who were 50+ and looked a lot younger. Dudes eating healthy and been exercising for many many years and he got lucky with good genetics. Did y’all also hear the part where he did say mice aren’t humans and this is just studies or do y’all have selective hearing? See he’s smart. He knows this may or may not work.

Here... Do some reading... There’s reasons why they use mice in nearly all research before moving on to humans.. You do know that virtually everything we use has been studied on mice first, right?

Intake a baby aspirin every day.. wonder if going up in dose has any more positive effects.. like 1/2 aspirin.. but many 5imes the studies on aspirin dont telling of the dose

I was just kind of saying that tongue in cheek

Ill be honest....I am kind of on the same vein of thought as you. The guy is very educated but everything studied on this subject matter...comes back to being somehow linked to him

Study suggests method for boosting growth of blood vessels and muscle | MIT News

The research was funded by the Glenn Foundation for Medical Research, the Sinclair Gift Fund, a gift from Edward Schulak, and the National Institutes of Health.

Other senior authors of the paper are David Sinclair

Its just very hard to maneuver through this compound with everything connecting back to him

this was interesting though

Yes, I take a baby aspirin once a day. If my dose goes up, I will take two baby aspirins a day.
