How about American Werewolf in London? I liked that one too. I too feel like the older horror shows are better than the new. Some of the Alfred Hitchcock movies were great. Try out Alfred Hitchcock's Frenzy. Frenzy is a great flick.

Did you ever like the original " HALLOWEEN -1978 ? it's my favorite and regarded by many to be the best horror movie ever made . The plot was simple , but let perfect and would inspire a lot of low budget copy cats to follow . And to think how cool it would have been if Christopher Lee had excepted the role of Dr Sam Loomis .

Read on wikipedia that there is gonna be Human Centipede Part 2 and also an XXX version called HUMAN SEXIPEDE.... that should be interesting...

I think the ones that creep me out the most are the ones based on real events like the ones about Ed Gein or John Wayne Gacy, Mansons, etc. Oh, and has anyone seen a flik called 'Haute Tension' maybe german or something. Movie is crazy violent!

Repulsion- crazy movie, mentally distured chic. a Roman Polanski film it got HIGH reviews its a must see. a porn star in the starring role too...
Alligator- totall 80's B movie but i loved that one growing up
Piranha 3-d- that just came out was suspenseful as hell and gory
Bram Stokers Dracula- one of the best
The Omen- good child is the devil flick

I've noticed Human Centipede was mentioned. The movie was pretty messed up - but have any of your heard of "A Serbian Film"? Apparently it is one of the most disturbing films ever created. Look it up...

I'm just too much into the older genre of horror /slasher/ B- movie flicks of the 70-80''s era . After watching Saw part 3 I lost interest in the so - called new style of horror movies that just don't seem to have that scare factor of the movies on my list . I did enjoy " The Others with Nicole Kidman back in 2002 , and the japenese version of " The Ring is good and also " Mirrors with Keifer Sutherland . IMO , movie makers today throw in extra profanity , gore that doesn't make for a better horror movie or any movie for that matter .

Yeah..why the hell do they keep making saw movies..thwe ratings have to be down,they suck worse every time.I still like the Old Friday the Thirteenth movies..Jason Voorhies was and still is the baddest mofo of all horror movies.

Dead Alive is one of the most over the top, entertaining movies I've ever seen. Good call. One of my favorite scenes is the little fight sequence in the graveyard with the priest... "I kick ass for the lord!"

I really only like the shit that can happen in real life type scary movies although the freddy and jason shit I will always love. One thing that creeps me out though is scary movies with little kids in them, the exorcist( all of them), Texas Chainsaw Massacre (all of them), The Shining, Paranormal Activity and poltergiest always get me. And I gotta add The Forth Kind to my list as well because freaky demonic type aliens really get to me.

I can't wait for the new movie The Rite to come out with Anthony Hopkins, he rules in scary, drama stuff like Silence of the Lambs.

As I've gotten "older" I really try to watch what I put in my brain (there's an old computer programming saying, "Garbage in, garbage out") BUT, I still love a good horror flick. As I started thinking about it, there seems to be quite a variety of "sub-genre's" in the Horror Film realm...

Sci-fi: The Fly

Suspense: Halloween

Slasher: Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th

Any good suggestions for this year? We just got NetFlix and I'm lovin' it.

my wife and I are sci-fi geeks.... love our Netflix... just got done watching farscape series, firefly series, and of course stargate SG-1 series... LOL yes I know we are dorks.

If you have not seen "paranormal activity" and dont talk during the movie, will scare the crap out of you. my buddy gets scared during horror movies..so everytime something is comming up, he starts to be "Chatty cathy" so he can break his attention span...he thinks he has us fooled with what he is doing.
