He's a good guy. He used to provide good content (exercise form). He then went away from being serious to making lame jokes and trying to be a comedian to the point where many of his videos now days are unwatchable. For the most part he is now mocked and I lump him in with liver king etc rather than guys like Justin or John meadows. He has a small segment of people who like him and will defend him. I wish he went back to the old doctor mike. In certain podcasts (revive stronger, nyles) he is still very good and intelligent and knows his stuff...because he is held in check by the host and can't go on 2 minute joke sessions about gay sex and jerking off and other middle school humor.
As for his training theory, I personally find it among the worst. Ramping volume, denying the real research on frequency and parroting its superiority for hypertrophy when that has been debunked, and he is a "rir" guy...for the life of me i can't understand how so many people love pretending they know how many reps short of failure they are and why they think rir is superior..I guess it stems from fatigue fear mongering. He also prescibes absurd deload protocols..God forbid someone just takes a week off or does a couple light sessions..but Mike prefers to micromanage a week off.
He has had trouble getting lean and has had liipo and if you follow him..his diet isn't exactly clean.
So in summary I used to be a fan but have done a 180...from what I've seen online many others feel the same. Great businessman though I'll give him that.
