thoughts on simple sugary cereal post workout

OBV is just me then....but there are tons more food more nutritious than this garbage bowl full of sugar.

a BIG pass for me.

to each his own.

So much for health and longevity.

I agree 100%, but when 7/8ths of your meals are really clean, consisting of proteins, fats and trace amounts of carbs I think there are some benefits to a meal like this...keeps your metabolism guessing and as has been mentioned fills you out nicely

If you think a bowl full of cereal is fuckin with your "health and longevity" then you're definitely confused.

Naa. I'm not confused.

Nor do I think one bowl of cereral is going to fuck with my health.

I was under the assumption that the OP was leaning to have a bowl of cereal post work out every day.

I just dont like it + I'm not a fan of sugar.

to each his own.

Totally get it.

Interested what you think about guys like Jordan Peters and Scott Stevenson who basically place all their carbs PWO. Both of those guys eat cereal and sorbet. Hell even John Meadows wrote how he was killing Reese's Puffs post workout.

Agreed.

And I hate that they can eat that and not get fat like I would

I hate to use this word, but those folks have the "genetics" to do so and are on a completely different level then I.

I should have made it clear that I'm also sensitive to certain carbs and I have learned where and when I can indulge in carb heavy meals.

I'm also a high fat moderate protein low carb type of guy.

I eat the cereal pwo after every workout. No fat issues. The rest of my diet is as clean as I can get it...basically eggs and whites, chicken, beef, broccoli and asparagus. I try to keep all of my carbs around my workouts. At 52 yrs old I feel this is what works for me

I'm just not a fan of sugar nor am I a fan of the havoc it will cause to my body.

My sugar post workout involves fruit or sometimes nothing at all.

I do the same thing. Pro/Fats majority of the day. Throw any easily digestible carb in PWO...cereal, bagels, frozen yogurt, rice, whatever. Do that for a meal or two then back to protein/fats.
