So my wife and I decided to get our thyroid checked, as we felt our metabolisms have slowed a bit. Years ago we used to do experiments with our rats and How t3 Effected them... so we just wanted to make sure as researchers our body did not accidently absorb any thru our skin and we were completely normal....
Can someone explain this result to me:
Her TSH level: 1.64
My TSH level: 1.28
With this result you would assume we are HYPER thyroid, but it sure doesnt feel like it. Would this result be from our experiements in the past and our body still trying to slow down the amount of thyroid that could have been potentially absorbed into our system from a synthetic outside source?
normal range for TSH is .5 - 5.0. The lower the number indicates less stimulating hormone, as the body is saying their is TOO much T3/T4 in the blood and trying to get the thyroid gland to produce Less. I can't figure out why both our bodies would be telling our natural thyroid hormone to SLOW down. I wish he would have ran a free t3 free t4 test, but he didn't. When I asked him to test the thyroid I expected him to run a full panel, not just TSH.
