i have a very tight coracobrachialis muscle. i can train shoulders but chest really causes it to over stretch and start the cycle again. does anyone have any suggestions on what excersises i could do or advoid
Stretching is obviously the first step, but the one thing that really helped mine was not doing any flying motions. I just press. Chest development hasn't suffered any since the change. I also stopped doing front raises and heavy standing curls with straight bar. Those seemed to irritate it too.
Also going lighter on the presses and praising at bottom helps loosen stuff up.

Yeah, only time I ever strained mine was going too heavy doing flyes. Id stick with using a pec deck if the gym has one, and even that you have to watch it. Really for the most part it shouldn't be too risky if you don't go too far back when you extend.
i notice it when i do front raises and flys as well,it does hurt while am doing them but after my delt swells and really causes me problems with my scapula i thought about just doing dips for chest and only side laterals like phil hernon suggest and see if leaving those movements alone help.
