My current cat is a Birman. I got her because she is supposed to have only a single coat as opposed to the double coat on Ragdolls, so she shouldn't shed as much. Bullshit!!!

The first thing that the housekeeper does every morning is vacuum the carpets (dark blue) as they are covered in white fur. It's like she rolls her ass all over the house every damn night.

I have a long-haired Blue Golden Shaded, and I thought the single coat myth was just a Birman thing—turns out all long-haired cats just want to turn our homes into fur factories. My dark furniture is a lost cause at this point.
