I know there's a beginners forum, if a mod wants to move it there that's cool. I'm just posting it here because it doesn't look like the beginners forum gets much traffic.
One mistake I made early on was trying to get down a lot of one type of protein all at once. Let's say my meals were:
1. 8 ounces chicken breast
2. 8 ounces lean ground beef
3. 8 ounces chicken
4. 3 scoops of protein
5. 8 ounces lean ground beef
6. 8 ounces salmon
What's way more palatable (and probably better for digestion, I would think):
1. 4 ounces chicken, 1 scoop whey
2. 4 ounces chicken, 4 ounces beef
3. 4 ounces beef, 1 scoop whey
4. 4 ounces salmon, 4 ounces chicken
5. 4 ounces salmon, four ounces beef
6. 4 ounces beef, 4 ounces chicken, 1 scoop whey
I don't really need to do this anymore. I can make myself eat 12 ounces of unseasoned 96% lean ground beef, cold with no condiments. But it helps alot if you're struggling to get in a lot of protein, like I was in the beginning.
Obviously you can do the same thing with carbs and fats, but I never had a problem eating lots of carbs
