I know there's a beginners forum, if a mod wants to move it there that's cool. I'm just posting it here because it doesn't look like the beginners forum gets much traffic.

One mistake I made early on was trying to get down a lot of one type of protein all at once. Let's say my meals were:

1. 8 ounces chicken breast
2. 8 ounces lean ground beef
3. 8 ounces chicken
4. 3 scoops of protein
5. 8 ounces lean ground beef
6. 8 ounces salmon

What's way more palatable (and probably better for digestion, I would think):

1. 4 ounces chicken, 1 scoop whey
2. 4 ounces chicken, 4 ounces beef
3. 4 ounces beef, 1 scoop whey
4. 4 ounces salmon, 4 ounces chicken
5. 4 ounces salmon, four ounces beef
6. 4 ounces beef, 4 ounces chicken, 1 scoop whey

I don't really need to do this anymore. I can make myself eat 12 ounces of unseasoned 96% lean ground beef, cold with no condiments. But it helps alot if you're struggling to get in a lot of protein, like I was in the beginning.
Obviously you can do the same thing with carbs and fats, but I never had a problem eating lots of carbs

I think your approach makes more sense. Smaller, more frequent meals is a lot easier on digestion, than trying to slam 12-16oz of chicken per meal

Obviously incorporating the right amount of carbs and fats is a good way to get the calories up as well. It's probably very difficult to eat 4-6k calories in strictly lean meats

Yes, I was just listing the protein for this example. And the quantities of protein are just hypothetical, although I do like a little bit higher protein in the pre-bed meal

Smaller more frequent and a glass of room temp water, bite, sip, chew-sip, swallow. It ain’t food look at it like a gamer it’s now a tool with which to sculpt

Or..just sleep less and use that time to get in meals

Terrible idea lol

You may be joking so in that case haha 😅

I would say do

3 meals
2 shakes
Easy

Or
4 meals
2 shakes

Or

3 meals
3 shakes ect
So, I’ve had life long insomnia due to a heart condition..as a teenager I never understood why people didn’t get in all their meals..it’s easy when you sleep a max of 4 hours a night…took me a long time to realize I was fucked up lol

You probably don't have appetite issues either

I do now that I’m older
I think everyone has phases of appetite problems even in younger years but especially as I’ve aged my desire even for a juicy big ass ribeye just ain’t always there

I really don’t like using silverware anymore..if I could just have beef fajita nachos, burgers, tacos, chicken fingers..shit like that forever it would be ideal

I coukd do nacho variations all day everyday bro

4-6,000 cals in lean meat is a shit ton of food only 4 calories in a gram of protein.
While I see what you’re saying, I’ve found adding more fat does nothing but slow my system down vs pushing carbs personally.
