Started flippin tires a couple days a week. Damn what a workout ! I love heavy lifting but finally had to do something to get the cario/endurance up. Anyone else do this on a regular basis?

I break the monotony of regular bodybuilding style workouts with quick crossfit workouts, tire flipping, sled dragging, etc 1-2 times a week and consider it cardio...but on occasion the workouts are pretty heavy oly lifting as well.
Not on a regular basis, although I know I should. Sled drags are pretty huge too. I have heard of some strongmen that the only implement they train with is a tire. I don't know how good they are though.

Prowler pushing, sled dragging, tire flipping... All very good for cardio... Dont forget anchor/chain dragging too!! USe to do all this a lot when i was doing strongman stuff regularly..
I got a 600lb tire a few months ago. I use it during HIIT cycles and strongman event training. When I first got it it was tough to flip it more than a few times without collapsing. Now I can flip it 5-6 times in less than a minute. Probably need to upsize...
mines around 700 but i train for strongman. Ill prolly get a bigger one eventually. if u wanna do it for just cardio u may as well get a one around 300lb imo
