I've been doing protein shakes everyday after my workouts, but my buddy the "former" bber says I'm doing over kill putting too much in them, especially calories. What do you think? Here's my typical recipe:

8oz skim milk
8oz water
35g whey protein
1/2 cup oats
1 cup frozen veggies
1 banana
1 tbsp enova oil

sometimes I'll add 1/2 cup of cottage cheese.

Advice???

???

Hey chief

Just curious what kind of frozen veggies you puttin' in?
I was really with you up to there and the cottage cheese:(

Usually brocoli and califlower mix, sometimes stir fry mix. That's about the only way I get my veggies. I'm one of those guys. I also put eggs in it, boiled, one whole and three more just whites.

whatever works for you bro. are you trying to put on size?

Yes, but I don't want to overdo it and look like a sumo wrestler.

That's 500-600 calories. This is certainly not too much, especially PWO. I'm assuming you aren't that big if you're concerned about this being too much?

5'11", 225 lbs.

Just curious, why fiber and fat in your PWO drink. This is not taking advantage of the window of opportunity

Fiber for digestion and I don't really get it much else throughout the day. I've read in a couple of the magazines to add a little fat to help muscle recover and increase testosterone. They recommended the enova because it didn't have the trans fat, just the good fats.
