He's fuckin crazy..... LOL... I bumped into him at the gym and ended up doing legs with him I couldnt stand my legs were shaking so bad....... it was ridiculous..... that was the craziest leg day of my life and I have only one question for you TP4U when are we doing that again? :D

Leg extensions 10 reps
front squat 10 reps
leg press 10 reps feet together
leg press 10 reps feet apart
walking lunges with 50lb dumbbells 40 feet
Straight leg deadlift

2 times followed by

Leg extensions 12 reps
front squat 12 reps
leg press 12 reps feet together
leg press 12 reps feet apart
walking lunges 50lb dumbbells 40 feet
Straight leg deadlift
bodyweight walking lunges back
50 rep leg press

I'm so used to just doing heavy squats that this blew me out of the water I couldnt breathe/stand and I was coughing later that night....my legs are really sore today too...

Cmon that wasnt so bad haha. You did good for your first time trying that. Next time will be much more fun, and like i said.....the closer to a contest i get the crazier the workouts get! Me and my bro did heavy negative squats before this (got it from emeric delczeg) then we did a few straight sets of 12 reps. Then we did heavy leg curls supersetted with heavy stiff legs (the heavy portion of the leg workout).

My bro is the first person to actually finnish a leg workout with me so we had a tiebreaker (1.25xbodyweight on leg press fastest one to 40 reps WITHOUT bouncing or the rep didnt count)......he did it in 1:19:93....i got 1:19:34 LOL, i won by half a second! lil sucker is tuff......

Next leg workout is on Monday night around 6-6:30. Be there....if you dare :D
 
I agree but......

couldn't you get the same results with less volume? does anyone know from experience? i am curious. like along the lines of what lee haney said, "stimulate don't annhiliate." cuz i would think doing all that volume during contest prep would be OVERTRAINING...? -STEELE

Personally, it is not good for muscle growth, but he is in this for more of a hobby, not to compete on a national level........This is a lot of exercise and I bet his blood work is PERFECT.

lol dont get blood work during cycle, maybe i should. I have fun with this, and i enjoy workouts like this. I really dont think its THAT bad. I do drink a shake during the workout with 60g WMS/Dextrose, BCAAs, EAAs, some whey hydro, beta alanine and creatine. My nutrition and rest around the workouts are on the money too. Hey, it works for me....cant knock it if it produces results right?

Stimulate don't annilate is for those that have superior genetics AND have paid their dues already.

Let's not let that saying convince some newbies that light stimulation is the best way.

Once you have annilated for a few years and matured your muscle then yes stimulation is feasable.

I stimulated my first few years of training with no real results. Then I annilated with ok results. Then I annilated and finally got my diet right and started yielding results.
My genetics for mass suck so it took (and still takes) intensity inside the gym, and high and heavy reps with my fork.

If your taking a set to true failure,I dont believe you require more than 2-3 sets for growth. Granted frequency of training plays a role. But to be honest I never got much out of annihilation. Except for feeling like crap after 6-8 weeks. I have gained quite a but of mass thru DC training in such a short period. I am convinced that if your mind set, and diet are correct few sets is possible if not optimal for growth. Some of you feel differently, and this is just my opinion.
 
For everyone trying to analyze this situation...i say......

You are all just making excuses not to train hard :D
 

What makes it even funnier...is it comes off as a joke...but everyone here is thinking "maybe its true" :D sometimes honesty is the best comedy! brutal bluntness!
 
i like this workout as an alternative. we do a similar course. tp, try this one some time. the guy getting me ready for my next show gaVE ME THIS.
warm u psquatiing with very light weight. do 4-5 sets of this weight if you have to but do not go up in weight until you are completely warm. the go straight to 225 for 50 reps, 4 sets. start out with strict form but as you fatique get as much as you can, even half reps, just keep moving.
then go to leg press and do a moderate weight of 15 reps. then do the same weight, 4 sets of 100. personally i have never been able to finish this one, but am getting closer.
 
right now that i am dieting, my workouts are somewhat brief but INTENSE. i like it alot, BUT i am pretty lean right now so i wish i could they were longer and i could spend more time in gym...in front of the mirror:p :D STEELE

Actually, posing was part of our giant sets. Dont underestimate the ability of posing to create harder, denser muscles with more detail.
