I need to place an order to stock up on vits etc and want to pick up something for my grandmother.

I'm looking for things that will have the most profound effect on her life.

I was thinking of fish oils and maybe something to help with lethargy as she seldom leaves the house, just something to lift her mood/spirits a bit perhaps?

What about Ubiquinol, good for the heart I know and I've read some reviews by pensioners on Amazon reporting that they've experienced a lift in energy levels from it or would I maybe get more bang for my buck with something else?

First of all you have to know all medications she's on, both prescription and non prescription, and what possible interactions any of the supplements your considering might have with those other meds!

bingo, especially since a lot of elder folks are on anti-coagulants such as Coumadin.

I'd say a good B-Complex and Vitamin C tabs would be a good and safe start for someone around the age the OP's asking about. Vitamin A and K would depend upon of course if they are taking anti-coagulants and even then.

Gelatin and curcumin would be good supplements for the joints if he is having any joint discomfort or issues.

Ubiquinol would be good for him if he has any lethargy and heart issues. Life-Extension sells an superior type of Ubiquinol. They have third party testing and even get rewards from Consumer Reports for passing certain standards. They are actually one of the few good companies that actually care about making a quality health supplement.

Not as simple as I thought then.

Im thinking fish oil will be a good bet so will just go with that.

Apologies for posting about pensioners, I know this is promuscle lol but everyone here seems pretty health conscious so thought it would be a good place to ask lol

My friend. I am a pro trainer who trains people from all walks of life. From pro bodybuilders to seniors, to housewives. I have a 73 year old client who has so much energy that he leaves me in his dust. I treat him like anyone else. He does a 3 day weight split (Chest Tris/Legs Shoulders/Back Biceps) with hardcore free weights. Plus cardio and a Bodybuilding style diet. Now it took about a year to get him up to speed, but unless your Grandmother has some real health issues the best thing she could do would be diet and exercise, nice and easy. Might work wonders. Of course check with her doctors first.
