As I mentioned in another post, I ruptured my bicep last October. I wait tables, and after the surgery, and being off work for a month I HAD to go back to work a little early which meant waiting tables while wearing a sling and doing everything with one arm for a while.
Obviously EVERY single table felt the need to ask me what happened. I would tell them I ruptured my bicep tendon while lifting. I was completely surprised by the amount of middle to older age dudes that also had ruptured biceps at some point. I probably talked to about 8 or 9 different dudes in a span of a few weeks that all tore it. Only a few got surgery, and every one of them proceeded to show me how their bicep was deformed as a result, in one way or another lol. Not one single guy I talked to tore it while in the gym. It was always while trying to carry a large object and in most cases it falls. Vending machine on a dolly, wash machine, car frame.. etc.
