Torn tendon limiting workout

Torn tendon in elbow is limiting my workouts. I can wrap it hard an take pain killers and force the workout but I'm doing more harm to it. Just going to start ghrp 2 (not sure how much yet) in the site and treating with tens unit. Any other ideas or comments?

do more rehab based training of light weight high reps for isolation movements, definitely just focus on getting a good pump to force fresh blood flow to the injury, avoid any fast or jerking power movements fo a while also to minimize increase trauma to injury..

doing ice preworkout will help with pain as well and a heating pad works good in the off time as well for blood circulation.. on rest days can try a couple hot/cold contrast therapies through out the day..

definitely get ghrp or ghrp/ghrh on board, consider TB500 as well along with des/lr3/mgf as options as well, only the last 3 should you bother with at site, everything this else is systematic and localized effect is more than likely going to just be result of placebo effect

thanks. So I'll run ghrp2, tb500, & mgf then. What would be a good dosage an schedule you'd recommend ?

What is your exact diagnosis? How was it diagnosed? What was the event like that caused it?

Ended up going to a med clinic a few days ago cause the pain was bad an i couldnt lift more than 20 pounds extended without severe pain. They checked it out an said it was torn, keep it wrapped and let it rest for awhile. Gave me pain killers an anti inflamatories. I got a usual run around of follow up with my regular doctor an see a specialist if it doesn't improve.

I'm not sure if it was originally caused the motorcycle accident. It hurt a bit after but not that bad. The pain had gone away and after I started back in the gym I was on tren A an figured it was joint pain from that. Did a really heavy chest an shoulder workout one day an hasn't been the same since.

What I worry about is that you have an injury that could be fixed surgically if done promptly, but waiting too long could make it harder to repair properly. Tendon tears can be like this. A good ortho doesn't necessarily need an MRI to diagnose a tendon injury, but it will likely be required. If at all possible, see a specialist. Your standard internal medicine doctor isn't going to have the training to deal with your issue in any way.

Surgery wouldn't be an option now unless I could get the procedure done for less then 2k. That's why I just went to a med clinic. My insurance fucked me over after the accident an left me with 18k to pay. Was hoping I could buy some time till I can get better insurance coverage.

I wouldnt bother with the ghrp route. Go see a Dr and Fast!! I had a tear in my patellar tendon and made it worse doing physical therapy etc.
I got hooked up with a Dr who does PRP (plasma rich platlet) injections which helped. It didnt solve it enitrely but iit got me going in the right direction. I got another one with more success. Finally I got a stem cell inj where bone marrow was taken out of my hip and inj into my patellar tendon.

This healed the giant chunk of tedon that was missing/torn. Its definately gotten better but It went on for so long becasue I dicked around and listened to idiotic "old school" Dr's who arent up to date with new techniques and treatments.

Take my advise on this one and save yourself some major aggrivation and time and see someone who can do these procedures for you. Its generally out of pocket and not covered my insurance but its better than surgery where results arent always as promising as we want them to be;)

Do you notice any difference in strength? In other words, when the pain went away and you were able to lift again, was there a difference in strength between the injured elbow and the healthy elbow? If you have not lost strength then that would most likely signify a bone spur or bone chip. If you have lost strenght than the tendon is probably compromised to some extent.

I agree with your post, but you shouldn't ice your elbow (or any injury) before your workout, because it will inhibit the pain you can actually do more damage to it without realising until you literally cant do anything with it and your screwed. Icing after your workout is much better, because it'll help reduce the inflamation that your workout has caused

you are absolutely right with ice giving false sense of healing to push harder and cause more damage.. which ultimately in the big picture of everything is the wrong way to go since even if trying to take it easy doing a rehab style approach your not going to be able to gauge just how easy to take it if you dont feel it from the ice...

that post alone shows even when I try to be rational and avoid the old school "just shake it off and be tough" mentality to push thru an injury, it still manages to occasionally seep out... definitely a good save on your part ..

well for the ghrp 2, doing the 100mcg 2-3x/day, if you want to be exact the dose it at 1mcg/kg or even 2mcg/kg, minimum 2x/day, PW and prebed, if you can sneak in a 3rd dose, like maybe if you wake up in middle of night to piss and its a few hours after you crashed then pop a 3rd dose, or even upon waking if you train later in day.. as for tb500 I know jonjuan here on PM has had great success from it, as well as minister, im sure you can do a search for there dosing threads since I've yet to jump on board...

mgf though I have notice good responses from 100-300mcg at site of injury.. and for my injury issue it is actually a tricep tendon injury as well and yup I pin it right in the tendon.. I will say pinning in the tendon I have learned is a feeling all its own, seperate from the sensation Im used to from IM or sub-q LOL I prefer it prebed so it can work its magic while body is asleep in recovery mode already.. also i have been getting results from just doing 2x/wk as well, nothing to say recovery couldnt be sped up by going at a higher frequency of dosing.. 3x/wk, 5x/wk, daily etc... but since I am on a budget I am limiting to 2x/wk and drawing it out over length of time

in regards to chucksmooth suggesting PRP here is a link for a very informative powerpoint of similar nature in the related field, give solid examples of being applied in pro sport settings with great success.. even gives some reference to MGF dosages on one of the slides LOL

I dont know the exact link but this is going thru google and should work.. I just saved it to my puter for perm reference..

I think you need to follow the docs advice qnd rest that badboy, and take your anti-inflammation meds. If its truly torn you don't want to be pushing it.

You should see a specialist and see if you can get a better or more accurate diagnosis also. That wont cost you 2k, just your regular Co pay. At least then you can get a better idea of what you are dealing with, and if surgery is required.
