If done for bodybuilding purposes I don't see a really good reason to use the over/under grip. Double overhand+straps is the way to go for back development.
If you are into strongman/powerlifting that's a different story.
If yours are stubborn, add a couple of heavy sets of DB shrugs and that should do it.
for those who do barbell shrugs how the hell do you keep the bar from shrugging your nuts??? it always grabs my nuts on the way up, i tried leaning forward but that is how i injured my back
No shit Me too!! I think we have the exact height and arm length that cause that problem.I have asked others that say they don't have that prob.Or maybe we just have huge balls!
i've seen some strongman competitors doing shrugs with the cambered bar so as to prevent the nut whacking. you might consider trying this out.
