So i am researching a ne w routine, first off most say to do a 4 day split , i just feel i can do more, and then you hear for example 3 sets of 8 reps , do you start with your heaviest weight then decrease to stay at 8 , some people start light then end heavy , or do you keep the weight the same and try to get 8 for all 3 , ? You hear all the time to lift heavy , theirs a trainer at my gym who is jacked has won many shows, he always says not to lift so heavy, it puts alot of stress on the joints and doesn't work the muscle , he swears by the 10-12 rep range , , any insight ?
