Tren and proviron "compete"?

I'll admit I stopped learning about the science of gear many years ago and have forgotten much of what I knew.

Talked to this gym the other day and he was telling me that proviron with compete for and bind to androgen receptors better than tren?

Basically he was saying that I would get better results from tren without the proviron because the tren wouldn't have receptors to bind to--they would be taken up by proviron.

Make any sense to anyone?

I have taken tren and proviron many times and if anything theres a synergy but provirons best effect is on testosterone.

Every androgen competes with every androgen receptor.

If the receptors are saturated then they will reach equilibrium based off of the dissociation constant of the ligand.

Here is a watered down explanation.

DHT binds tighter than Test

100 receptors

40 test molecules
40 dht molecules

All 80 molecules bind and the difference in dissociation constant makes no difference.

100 receptors

100 test molecules
100 dht molecules

arbitrarily, it will equillibrate closer to 75 DHT's and 25 testosterones

Just as an aside, this doesn't count the changes in equilibrium associated with local and systemic metabolism. In which case the equilibrium will be shifted toward the molecule that has more resistance to metabolism.

another somewhat overlooked effect of PV is its very high binding affinity for SHBG. it basically "busies" a large amount of SHBG, freeing up other hormones (yes, including E) to do their work.

when i add PV i up my anti-aromatase along with it for this reason

Most steroids that have a high receptor affinity also have a high SHBG affinity. The body has its ways of evening things out. But also a good point you bring up.

Anti-aromatase won't help relieve SHBG of its ligands, you would need a compound that binds SHBG to do that. Unless I am not understanding the underlying reason why it would help?
