Trey Brewer Back Training

And here comes the shit talking about Trey...

Can any of you guys EVER give this guy a break? I mean, it really is mostly jealousy. He has a ton of potential... just doesn't have the greatest head on his shoulders and has made bad decisions.

1- He's bigger than 99% of you, which makes you feel bad about yourself.
2- He's had more exposure than most of you who've competed at a high level, which makes you feel bad about yourself.
3- He doesn't have an unkind word to say about anything or anybody.

WTF? How many guys do you see doing off-season training videos who are very lean and NOT black? I promise you that most of them are not superheavyweights.

The only things I see wrong with Trey...
1- Poor diet in the off-season
2- Poor exercise form in general, leading to future injuries.
3- Poor choices in who he uses for his prep.

He's still a baby! Once he gets the hang of eating healthy, trains properly, and sticks with a smart, experienced trainer... he'll do very well... in which case all of you will still bitch about how your friend heard from his boss's cousin's uncle who lives next door to Trey's aunt that he uses 10g of test and 20iu GH.

Look at yourself before you look at him. He's in the gym training, working as hard as he feels he needs to, and stays out of the gossipy bullshit. This is starting to become an internet version of The Real Housewives of ProMuscle.
SWEET BABY JESUS!!! bro if your refering to me then i can't do nothing but shake my head and laugh my ass off at your post! :naughty:

I don't actually think i said anything bad except agree that he lets himself go a lil too much during the offseason, if thats hating and being jealous then WOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW!!!!

I like Trey. He can come in shedded. He has a life out of bodybuilding. I don't think he has a bad head on his shoulders. He is persui g a career outside of the sport when he could have made some money in it. He has balls enough to agree to a video when he's soft.

We should all look so "out of shape" at 300 pounds.

i'm sorry but i could NOT have someone following
me around (trainer) and talking in my ear the whole fuckin workout

how annoying would that be??????!!!!!!!!?????

a training partner occasionally????......ok

but, no way........maybe it works for him

i train too instinctively for that shit

haha yes i agree

According to your logic, you must be jealous and/or feel bad about yourself for pointing out the things you see wrong with Trey. Right???

I don't think anyone is jealous him. He let himself go - it's plainly obvious. Can you get back to contest shape? Of course.

I cant figure out why this guy is so polarizing in the BB world. My best guess is all anyone wants to do is bring up the old argument about how lean to be between contest preps. I for one don't give a damn, it's how you look on stage if you are a true bodybuilder.

I guess the kid has been training for the fire department and all that and from the looks of him prolly took some time off the gym. Big deal. When the time comes he will be in shape, I think its great he'll do a video when he's clearly not at his best and doesnt care like the majority of competitive BBer's out there. Not many do that with the offseason look.

Brad, no, I wasn't referring to you...

BUT... when's the last time you saw more than 50% of all Trey Brewer comments in a positive light?

That's all I'm saying.

My analysis is of all the posts I've ever seen about Trey, and anticipating more of the same in this post.

Am I jealous of Trey? Well... aren't you (this is the part where you probably say you aren't because you're too manly to admit it)? Isn't that why we all train? I'd love to have his size and I'd love to have the opportunities he's had... but I'm happy to be me.

It's just funny because we get some really mediocore pictures of eachother on here (some of myself included) and we all support eachother... but when this guy comes in, everybody somehow flips their lid and throws him under the bus.

I'm a Trey Brewer fan for sure. I hope the kid comes in better than ever.

I'd be happy to trade career records with him...

dave i understand what you are saying, but let me say this if trey became a member of this board tomorrow everyone would support him but i can guarantee you that guys like phil, emeric, me, tenny, johnny and others would tell him his good points and def. tell him his bad points, hell everyone has them and treys is getting a lil too out of hand in the offseason, to the point where his skin almost sags in some spots. I can also tell you that if he worked with DC he would still be a huge mofo but not be as "loose" with his offseason. HE WOULD STAY WITHIN CERTAIN PARAMETERS in his offseason.

the kid is nice, down to earth, and its hard to not like him as a person, but in this sport you are going to be judged! I think treys does about 85% of the things right as no one is perfect, and he has room to improve he just needs to be guided in the right direction thats all, especially if he ever wants to get his pro card.

and no dave honest to GOD i am not jealous of trey brewer! I don't want to be 300lbs especially at 5ft5 i would look retarded  his national level record is no better than mine so i can't say i am jealous at all. I am jealous of genetically gifted guys like Brandon Ray, and neil champain (spelling?). even al augusta who has those sick full muscle bellie's, maybe steve kuclo as I think that kid has one hell of a physique, but Nawwwww not trey bro. Dave Palumbo was a big mofo also but i wouldn't have wanted his physique.

I have nothing against trey at all he is one of those good, nice, polite, southern boys that you can't help but like. I just think he needs to take a different approach to bodybuilding.

hmm why do you allways think every post is about you bro??
come on take it easy you are just strerring something up
me and dave are cool and will always be cool.... NEWBIE! :welcome:

LOL been here almost a month now and got me figured out huh??? LMAO fucking newbies!

Trey is a great bodybuilder, and I am glad he took some time off to seek something outside the sport. Now that he is back with Daniel maybe they can put together a game plan for 2011 to get him past or match the size and condition he had when he first came out on the scene. Either way Trey will always be talked about coming into a contest just because of the reputation he has built in the early stages of his career. Love him or hate him Trey will be threat in the coming year. I wish him well, and I completely agree with Dave Smith in the matter.

LOL, yup. Brad and I will always be cool.

I'm on this board because it's one of the few boards with people who are open minded, intelligent, critical yet honest, and have good etiquette.

Phil, Brad, Homonunculus, Shelby, Mountaindog1, the list goes on. They're what keep this board worth coming back to. I never cease to learn something when stopping by here.

That explains why....

I agree! :lightbulb:[/QUOTE

His form is not the best, I would use heavy as posible with correct form, I don`t see him taking advantage on the negative part of the execise.

Emeric from the bottom of my heart bro....THANK YOU.
I have learned so much from you and this is a big one TAKING ADVANTAGE OF THE NEGATIVE PORTION OF THE EXCERSISE.

I'm such a fatty then :D (well, that and eating half a carton of General Tso chicken yesterday)

Honestly, while I didn't appreciate his form I really didn't think his eccentric portion was all that bad (maybe a little fast on one or two exercises)....

It wasn`t as bad as others bad, but when you go to the gym you must train for the maximum results possible. For example if I go today to the gym to train
I would not tell to my self that today I will try to train only 80% correct, that 20% can prevent you to be at your 100% best.

maybe steve kuclo as I think that kid has one hell of a physique

Couldn't agree more with you on that one Brad!

I like Trey and I like watching his video's. He seems like a real down to earth guy that doesn't act like he's better than anyone else. Just seems to tell it like it is with no bragging. I was actually pretty surprised to see his "softer" condition he is in. He's one big dude
