So i had an MRI on my left elbow due to pain in my tendon for the past 2-years almost...finaly got tired of it and got the MRI.The results were besides the tendonitis that i already knew about,a small partial tear(less than 50%)in my triceps tendon.im going to see the doctor on wednessday but was wondering if anyone here had that same issue i REALLY dont want to have a surgery,do you think there is a different option or surgery is the only option here even if its a small tear? THANKS!!

Bro....

... that sucks I hate it for ya. Inuries are no fun. Chronic elbow tendinitis here also, so I have an idea what you been goin through.
Called my buddy who is a physical therapist. He said other than the surgery they (Doctors) will tell you the alternate treatment is a combo of 1) Rest, not lifting for a long while 2) cold therapy 3) Physical Therapy. And then when you DO start back training its still gonna bother you and eventually regress to the original state.
If you've got a bodybuiders mindset your're probably gonna say screw the rest. Personally, if it's been hindering you that long I'd go with the surgery, it's arthroscopic. Do it, get the rehab over with and start training with an elbow that is 100%.

Good luck, hope it worksout for ya

Thanks for your reply bro.

I remember reading research about a certain low frequency ultrasound that promoted improved tendon attachment after a partial tear. This was a recent study so your average PT might not be aware unless you educated them first.

Thanks for the info!!
