this is the usual waiting time for mrt in germany.I’m not 100% but I think you can still get the surgery depending how much the tendon has already retracted. Why did you have to wait so long to get imaging?
4-6 weeks usually

A 150 km Autobahn drive in Deutschland
should take about 35 minutes![]()
Ok, call a friend with a faster car..i drive a citroen c3 xD
i will definitely do that for the surgery if it is possible.
There is a good ortho clinic around 160km away that i would want to use.
But i would first like to know if surgery is even an option at this point.
i assume you missed my post from todayNo one of us here can answer that, only the surgeon can. Make the trip, have all the scans, imagining etc on hand, and get a professional opinion from the guy that will do the surgery. Take the wife with you and have a nice short trip to the city of the clinic. There is no way around it, so might as well combine it with something nice.
I got diagnosed with a partial triceps tendon tear in 2018, and in my case, surgery was not an option, wouldn't have helped. I had to rehab it for months and strengthen the remaining tendon, until it eventually got good enough for most pressing and triceps isolation movements. Something like heavy skullcrushers will never be possible again, but press downs or extensions are no problem.
I have the bad habit of replying to posts before reading it alli assume you missed my post from today![]()
It is not easy. I couldn't lift at all after a botched surgery and also tearing my ankle ligaments, couldn't even walk and needed crutches. Was out of the gym for 6 weeks, and barely active at that time. Was a dark time for me. Couldn't even work, so was just at home, doing nothing but feeling sorry for myself.guys tbh, i am not sure if i am mentally strong enough to undergo surgery.
Lifting is a very big part of my life. I cant even tell you when i had my last rest day and right now im progressing very well..
ive abondend every social activity and have been focused completely on bodybuilding outside of my office job since years
just thinking about it right now makes me go crazy
I don’t know if it’s a quick small surgery or a bigger one, but you can always get back in the gym after a few days and just train the other side of your body and legs. Not heavy though, just keep te blood pumping.guys tbh, i am not sure if i am mentally strong enough to undergo surgery.

thanks for your kind word guys.
i know its only the right thing to do it right now, else i will regret it later on... But i already know it will be a fucking hard time.
@Dutch1909 the surgery is a smaller one. you are usually out of hospital after 1 night.
Yeah, i will definitely train my legs and the good side, but as i know you need the right arm for stabilization so it will only be quite easy weights/intensity.
my ortho told me yesterday evening she will call my prefered clinic on monday by herself and ask if they will do it after they declined me when ive called by myself. lets see what happens
yeah and exactly this is something i "have to learn" again.Schedule some things you've wanted to do that you can still do with a bum arm. If you have some plans laid out, the structure will help and whatever it is you've come up with will make the time go by much easier! It's time to expand the mind and enjoy some other aspects of life!!
hey there.I had a bicep that was ruptured for quite some time and had it re-attached. I have had surgeries to repair my shoulder, replace the other as well as spine surgery and was back in the gym in a week or less doing what i could do. With my shoulder surgeries that meant training 3 appendages as well as the torso. I find a healthy diet is the most important thing in recovery. Then rehab second.
