Triceps tendon rupture - opinions

Getting an appointment at any medical specialist doctor is almost impossible. Every Cardiologist in 50 km has 3+ months waiting lists. Lung Doctor all booked out for this year already. We just don't have enough doctors, and too many sick people, not a good country to get sick.

Seconding the gear advice from @lm89 - only take test around TRT Dose, a bit of hgh. Keep the supplements in, keep protein high, the extra collagen is a very good idea. Find a good PT in your area, and do your rehab program diligently every day, that will help the most.

Keep the gear for when you are healed up ;-)!
yeah german healthcare system sucks hard.
But i am happy that i will get surgery at the vulpius clinic now. Its one of the best orthopedic clinics here and my first visit was structured, organized and everyone was friendly - something im missing in most clinics

yeah, i will drop down but keep hgh on the higher end, same wiht bpc and tb.

Glad to hear that it’s getting fixed man :). It’s gonna be tough, but you also got all the best advice already on this thread from others. Give your body the rest it needs by keeping gear low. Bpc tb500 and hgh all perfect to speed up recovery. I don’t know if you are in a bulking or cutting phase, but also adjust your food accordingly. I would say a bit higher than maintenance and eat clean. Keep your body moving and blood pumping by doing cardio and whatever exercise you can do.

I did an upper and lower body split when I went back in the gym 3 weeks after my torn tricep. Beltsquats were a perfect replacement for normal squats. Any machine you can use is good enough. Don’t go heavy, train on contraction. Slow reps, 2 sec holds, squeeze the muscles. There is a lot you can do with low weights to keep movement and maintain what you have now.

Take it slow, don’t rush things even if it feels good. Small steps each week, and stick to it. You’ll get to a certain point where you feel like you can do more and you probably are able to, but take 0 risk. Follow the docs advice on when you can put peak load on it again. With my tear the doc told me that after 5 months I could put peak load on it again and I didn’t push earlier than those 5 months.

thanks buddy.
i plan to workout legs and my left side with weights that do not require my right arm for stabilization - so as you said, it will be light weight, higher reps and more of a squeezing type of workout the first few weeks.
Surgery will be on monday 19.08, according to them i will stay in the clinic until thursday, 22.08. as soon as im out ill start with walks and dependent how showering works, maybe light cardio on the bike. my plan was to start with weights the week after but only very light pump-work style. yeah, he said 4-5 months until i can fully load my right arm. I will do what my physio tells me do to until then :D

Solid plan! If you look back at it in a few years you know you did the right thing and it was all worth it :).

I don’t know if you’re right or left handed, but what I found the most disturbing is that when all of a sudden you have to do the normal things where you don’t have to think about with your less ‘superior’ arm, you can’t 🤣. Drying yourself after a shower, brushing your teeth, putting on pants. Oh and eating! Every bite I took some food fell on the table, floor or my clothes 😅😅.

its my right triceps tendon and im right-handed... so yeah, this is also my worry :D
cleaning my ass with my left hand will be a challenge xD

Don’t know if I’ve missed it but how did you do it?

i already had elbow bursitits and i think this already weakend the tendon
the acute injury was during a set of heavy butterfly reverse. Atleast it made minor tearing sound and i had a minor bruising the day after

thanks for your opinion buddy!
guess you are right. Ill drop the test to my trt dosage and maybe add 25mg proviron for mood.. because i guess i need something that enhances my mood a bit since its not the best right now and i guess it isnt the best after surgery either :p
i think there is no other option than cardio and high rep weight training at the beginning.
training legs or the left side of my buddy i would still need my right arm to stabilize my body for 95% of the exercises and since this wont be doable (i have to wear a splint the first 5-6 weeks) i have to use a weight i can move without grabbing the handle and "pulling myself in"
Your last few sentences sound very familiar. Yeah, I just did what I could without putting any pressure on the arm with the splint. I can't remember how long I had to wear it but it was a long time and pretty much like wearing a cast but more delicate.

Advice was not to workout much at all until the splint was off but that wasn't going to happen. I searched around to see how others managed with the injury. Main thing is trying to keep the splint area as dry and clean as possible. The outside will start to stink after a while.

As far as the drugs and routine, for me, I was ok with it because I was at a point where I knew I was going to lose some strength anyway and I could stand to drop a few pounds. I just wanted to give myself the best chance to heal quickly and keep my total test in normal ranges.

You may respond differently and find that you can do more earlier in which case some of the other PEDs may be beneficial. I say just play it by ear. Good luck bro.
