Trying to get back what I lost

Sorry to hear about the accident! How did it happen?
I believe you still have a good 3 years to get in good shape.
If you go to a gym you can probably do some leg presses, extensions, and leg curls.
For back you could probably do like 20 variations of pull downs.
If i was you i probably would drop down to a lower bf level. Best wishes!

Why 3 years?

Doc currently has me on 30mg Metoprolol for blood pressure. First thing I’ll drop if my BP goes up is the adrol. I’ve done test with deca and test with eq with no increase in BP, but never all 3 in combo, so I’ll definitely keep an eye on that. Haven’t really considered using GH, shit it $$$. I’ve noticed I get joint relief from deca, but not so much in my back though.

So you have BP issues. Have you had a full workup done for your heart? It sounds like you were obese, given you are at 18% and lost 40lbs. How are your lipids?

You are on Metro so I would avoid Reta as it is a triple agonist. It impacts HRV and has inotropic impacts on the heart.

I think anyone with heart issues should NOT take Reta. Tirez is a different story.

Good question! I really don't know if you can gain any real muscle after 50, what do you think? And what do you suggest?
You absolutely can gain real muscle after 50. I turned 59 last week, and I've gained a couple pounds of lean mass this past year. I think it's tougher than it was in my 20s and 30s obviously, but a clean, consistent caloric surplus coupled with consistent training and reasonable PED use, I think it's very possible.

I’m thinking maybe just staying on about 300mg test and keep cranking workouts & cardio, diet is pretty good right now, maybe try GH to see how I respond.

Just get on the GH and Reta for fucks sake. You're already on gear lol.

I assume you’re tracking your caloric intake with this deficit you’re currently in? If not you really should be. As others have stated get your body fat lower.

Get those ab’s visible and then crank up the AAS, and get into a small calorie surplus. If you’re not training your ab’s you need to start so they protrude more once your lean.

Skip all the peptides just run GH if you can tolerate the sides. Also, I’d hop on a GLP and get the fat loss an extra kick in the ass.

Yes sir, tracking total calorie intake and protein. Been training abs too, over the last month they’ve become somewhat visible, just need to get BF a little lower. I think I’ll be happy around 12-14%, after all, I’m not training to be a beast, just want to look my best. Thanks Cage!

Haven’t given much thought about GH. Always figured I needed to get bigger before I would benefit, but I have seen a lot of guys talking about how it helps them get leaner on a cut and stay a bit leaner on a bulk. Might be worth a trial run, pricey stuff.
Now a days you could find quality gh at very affordable prices. You have plenty of great options here on PM with testing to back it up. The cost of 2-3iu/day is basically one less dinner my wife and I go to a month. Overall, when I used GH with gear versus not using GH with gear..there were significant differences.

If you haven't seen what @troponin did with Paul Barnett over 50, go listen to the story. They both recount it on quite a few podcasts. Point being, you aren't as much "on the clock" as you're probably thinking.

Paul by his own admission ran a load of gear.

I would not recommend that to anyone personally.

Get lean first, nail training and diet. Then slowly ramp up the gear. 500mg test should be plenty as you get started. No sense in 1+ grams in your position and with your goals.

Not popular advice perhaps, but I stand by it as someone in the game as long as I.

Thanks Hawkmoon. Training & diet is good right now, going to keep pushing to get down to about 12%, I’ll be happy with that. I’m going to lower the test to 300/week, don’t need more than that while I get leaner. Enough guys have suggested to add GH that I’m probably going to add a small amount.

Sorry, just saw your question gage22. Yes, doc gives me an EKG every year with my physical, & I get bloodwork done quarterly. Lipids and everything else has always been good. Since loosing weight my BP has consistently been at the low side of normal, hoping enough to eventually drop the metoprolol. It may have made it easier if I had added a weight loss supplement when I began, but no more than I have left to go I think I can go it without one. Enough guys have suggested that I add GH that now I want to try it. Won’t be able to order any for a month though because of vacation, don’t want it sitting and baking in my mailbox lol.

No worries.

FYI - I had very clean heart EKGs, had a stress test with the dye (over last 4-5 years). I was not overweight at all, ate very healthy, did a shit ton of cardio....and I had a heart attack this year.

As others here have suggested, get a calcium score test done. I did not have access to this in Canada. I should have flown to the USA and bought one.

Hang in there brother. Muscle memory is real. 3-6 months is all you need. You're gonna look the best you ever looked by the end of the year dw

Dang, sorry to hear that. I’ll have to remember that next time I get blood drawn, thanks.
