Brock or Carwin.

I got Carwin in a 2nd Round TKO.

Brock as been talking about he has changed stances (gone from Righty to Southpaw) and has been near death and inactive for a year.

So... for 20+yrs he has shot and fought from a traditional stance and now... with the biggest puncher he has ever faced, he decides to switch to southpaw. Chin will be exposed and he will be sleeping.

I have heard the arguments that he switched to get quicker takedowns. I call bullshit on that. If you are a NCAA D1 Champ using a traditional stance...there is no reason to change. Infact, the change will make him less effective (See Matt Hughes).

brock all the way... people underestimate just how dangerous he can be.

Lesnar by ground and pound. To big and fast for Carwin......

Well I cant say who will win but I can tell that IF Carwin wins it'll be by KO and if Brock wins it'll be TKO. No way this fight sees all 5 rounds.

i'll go with lesnar. it's not going to be a decision though.

Carwin via t.k.o., first round

Lesnar.

He's too big, powerful and fast.

Lesnar.

He's too big, powerful and fast.

I think Carwin is a good wrestler who can hold his own, but if he is going to win, he will probably have a slight advantage standing up.

I think both guys can nullify the other in every position. I think Carwin might have a slight advanatge on the feet, but that doesn't mean that I think Brock isn't good either, and can fend off or possibly hurt & beat Carwin.

On the ground, I give it to Lesnar, but Carwin is more than capable of winning there too.

Brock is the bigger, stronger, and faster guy imo.....BUT, fukk, who realy knows. Hopefully it is a good fight and worth the money!:)

This fight should answer a lot of questions in regards to both fighters and where they stand against other "large" and skilled competitors.

TBH....even the case with Carwin who has more fights under his belt, there just isn't enough fight footage to really give an accurate proposal on who will win.

The guys they have fought & beat lately are very good, but outside of that, it's just difficult to really say. Carwin has more fights, but his earlier competition didn't look too impressive to me. His wins against Gonzaga and Mir were solid though....while they lasted. I say he has an advantage on the feet, but looking back at that Gonzaga fight, he DID get hurt and caught in the stand-up. He recovered with a scramble to his feet and KO, which looked good...but....?

The UFC has some very skilled competitors right now, and it is a very exciting time to be involved with the sport.

Brock, Carwin, Cain Velasquez, JDS are giving the division some pep finally.

Then others who are still there or coming up are adding to it.

Speaking of which I heard a rumor a WHILE back that cain and dos santos would probably be fighting for the #1 contender spot sometime around the Brock vs Carwin fight. Anyone heard anything about this?

I'm not sure, but I was under the impression that Cain was going to fight the winner of Brock/Carwin.

JDS has a fight in a few months against Roy Nelson.

I can see either winning by KO - I think there's a good chance some of that rust on Brock might hurt him. But he's so damn strong.

if you look at the stats of these two they are pretty much the same size...on paper that is. Lesnar is only an inch taller, both weigh in at 265, but carwin actually has bigger hands...didn't realize this til dana white said so (5x for carwin and 4x for brock). Brock looks soo much bigger though. Hopefully carwin wins though.

Carwin, 1st round
