lesner just has so much weight over couture, and if hes as fast he ppl claim then this wont even be a contest. if couture wins, its by one lucky punch

I think Couture's got this fight but it sure as hell won't be a KO. Lesner is a bad ass but he is still new to MMA and if he makes 1 mistake Couture will end the fight. That being said Lesner is a heavy handed mofo so he's always got a punchers chance.

If there is a KO I see Lesner winning but if not the fight is Couture's.

I just saw Dana White on Rome's show on ESPN. He said Lesnar looks phenominal the shape he's in. He's at 270 right now and has to come down to 265 to make weight. He said Silvia is the only big man Couture ever beat and he doesn't compare to an athlete like Lesnar. He always had problems with the bigger fighters. I give the edge to Lesnar who is the younger fighter fighting to continue his MMA career where Couture is looking to retire soon at 45.

Lesnar got this....

Pops doesn't have knockout power, nor is a submission specialist .he grounds and pounds. if anyone on here thinks hes grounding lesnar u don't know shit about MMA. Lesnar is a world class wrestler he will be doing the ground/and pound or a knockout plain and simple.

BTW im willing to bet on this if anyone is interested.

Against better judgement, I pick Lesnar to win. I think that Randy "The Natural" Couture is actually NATURAL now. I think someone forgot to gear up during training.

I agree with Mexikatz, Couture, was always one of my favorite fighters, but he's way past his prime.

Anyway, he doesn't have the punching power to "Lucky Punch" a big guy like that. Lidell did. Couture, is a ground and pound type of guy and Lesnar is way to big for that and handles himself very well on the mat.

The most impressed that I've ever been with Couture is when we he beat Belfort, but that was a long time ago, back in 1996 I think, even then, Vitor is about the size of a lt. heavy.

No where near 265! And he's not a David Tank Abbot 265 either.

It's a good match up though, because Lesnar has a lot to learn still, and this fight is evenly matched.

It would be a good win for either fighter. It will help one fighter come in, keep another from getting pushed out. Definately more interesting than the Spider Silva match. I have to go with Lesnar.

Lesnar is getting better and better with each fight. Courture's only chance (a very slim one at that) is to get lucky with a leg lock similar to Frank Mir. Mir got lucky as Hell being it was Brock's first real fight and he beat him in the absolute weakest way possible in MMA.

Lesnar might not be able to master the submission yet, but he will beat Couture till he taps of embarrasment.

It's going to get ugly and embarrasing real quick. It'll be so one sided people are going to be shaking there heads asking who the hell out there can beat this guy. (Other than maybe Fedor)

How the hell can Couture win other than some kind of lucky leg lock (and Brock knows this)??

pedro rizzo is no small man, couture fought him in an awesome brawl in the young days of the ufc. For dana to say that Silva (the jab master) is the only big man he ever fought is not right.

If Randy doesn't get knocked out by a wild punch he will submit Lesnar during the fight. He may not be a specialist but he has been doing this a long time and can throw some moves together as needed.

How can anyone call any type of jujitsu hold luck? Flash knockouts via punch are lucky, any hold is calculated and then performed with no luck involved. Could you imagine trying to grab lesnars leg and snap his knee or ankle, imagine how hard he way trying to get free. If that was luck then Royce Gracie should have won the lotto 15 years ago.

This is one of those fights where I have no clue what could happen...Brock has a punchers chance, Randy is in a world of his own but he is gettin up in yrs...& as someone said it could get ugly real quick...although every mistake Brock makes Randy will make him pay for...

I think he said he was the only big man he stopped and always had trouble with other big men he faced. I think if Lesnar gets him on the mat he will just pound him into submission.

No way in hell my man! IF Couture wins, it will not be in the first nor will it be by tko. To be honest, I have to go with Lesnar in this one, unless it goes past the first 3 rounds. Then it's Randy's win.
I have all the respect in the world for Randy, dude is one in a million. Problem is, Brock is one of a kind.
