Thought this would make an interesting thread.

Are there certain exercises that you do ; which you may do a slight variation of ; to get a better feel for the muscle you are working ; when performing the exercise?!?

Leaning lateral raises for example

Interested to hear some different or unique exercises you guys use!?!

Just about everything John Meadows tell me to do!! I enjoy all the variations that he gives me. Keep it intresting and I am hella sore for all of them. Check out his YouTube channel.
 
Definitely any and all of the mountain dog stuff is awesome. I've had the best back and shoulder workouts consistently since incorporating those exercises/techniques.
 
First off: Kauto, I answered your PM.

On topic:

We have a sitting flat chest press machine.. but I sometimes sit with my butt at the end of the seat, arching my back a bit.. turning it into a sort of decline press. I feel it better that way.

For side laterals, I vary my hand position between the "normal" way and having them turned inward. The latter seems to hit trapz and rear delts more. I usually superset those.

Oh, and for trapz.. using a certain type of seated leg curl (doesn't work on all models), I stand in front of the machine, and while keeping my arms straight I push down with my trapz. Hard to explain, but it's like a reverse shrug.
