In about 3 or 4 years he won't be playing for anyone(just my .02) @ 19 he is strong, no doubt, but at 19 he is also very stupid. NO BELT, NO KNEE WRAPS, looks like he hit that rack dead cold. His knees and back won't be worth the plastic cuff they are gonna put in his knees later on! (again, just my .02)

He had a belt on, it looked like the valeo kind. He takes it off after the set is done. Just for kicks i plugged the 605 for 9 in BB.com's 1 rep max calculator and it came out to be a 778lb max squat!

I don't see anything wrong with how this was done. Everything looked good to me. Good form, he did recieve assistance on the last few reps but he still was moving the majority of the weight. Not too many athletes who squat big weight or do any big core movement wear wraps of any type other than a belt which he had on. As for his ability as a football player I have no idea.

impressive!!

not to nitpick, but i noticed he was leaning forward on the last few and using a LOT of lower back... the bouncing wasnt too too bad considering the weight... but i was just worried about his back

Remains to be seen if the performance in the weight room will carry over onto the field...and for how long. Nonetheless, an impressive lift for a 19 yr old, for sure!

impressive but you should of seen mike alstott squat the summer before his senior year...wish i had video. then he would go out and pull his jeep up the hill next to ross-ade stadium. for those that have been to purdue-you know how steep it is there.

A very impressive show of strength! Hard to believe he is just 19. Just looking at his physique you would never guess he is that strong. At 6 foot and 260 pounds he is very soft and unimpressive to look at, but strong as an ox!
