upper respitoryand sinus infection

i have both. it sucks. dr. gave me a Z pack(azithromycin) which worked on sinus infections in the past. he also gave me a 6 day pack of methylprednisolone. anyone ever take methylprednisolon? i have 21 4mg. tabs. take 6 day1 5day2 and so on.any sides i should worry about. this is my first time taking glucocorticoids and im i little parinoid about weight gain, facial-neck swelling ect. is 6 days a short enough duration to avoid sides. thanks for any input.

You may get a little bloat from them but it leaves as fast as it comes on , I personaly don't bloat from them but a buddy of mine swells up like a balloon after only a couple days.
You better off dealing with a bloat for a few days than staying sick for weeks trying to fight off the problem.

Generaly once the Sinusitus (sp) has gotten under control the upper chest will follow as the sinus crap running domn is what causes most of the trouble with the upper resperatory. If the Steroid bloats you to bad then ask your doc for a Breathing machine and a scrip for Zoponex (sp) is a liquid that is atomized in the machine and is inhailed usualy two treatments a day for a week will get you back on track.
