urine test for steroids

I was having a discussion with a friend about how some cyclists friends of his use equipose and pass their urine test for competition.
I didn't know the answer so i looked up info on urine tests for anabolics...
Apparently the test looks for testosterone vs epitestosterone ratio... so if a cyclist is only using eq and not using any testosterone i assume his epitestosterone vs testosterone ratio would not be effected and that is how they pass?

There are many kinds of PEDs tests out there.

If a particular organization only uses epi/test ratio, the athlete could pass using any drug besides test. If it includes metabolites, that's another story. And more complete tests like the ones used in the Olympic games can catch pretty much any steroid (including Balco drugs), HGH (since 2004 I believe) and even EPO.
